Frade Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Hey! Well, I rode Wilma as many people around campus say, the wind & rain was crazy, many trees came down, and one of them hit our Village. At 7 am, there was a fire alarm in the other freshmen Village, those guys are crazy because they did it on purpose so everybody got soaked, so we received those people in our dorm. Many crazy guys were running outside, others playing with umbrellas and bikes, lol This was something new for me, I didnt like the wind at night and the trees falling near my window, lol But there were no classes, and that was great, and my crazy roommate’s from Philly were more exited about the SNOW DAY at Philly than the Hurricane here, lol Enjoy the pics. Crazy guys, lol, that first window is my room. This is also a new river just behind my room. More tree parts bloking my way, lol Me dealing with the tree and the cool weather, lol Ok, that tree is bloking my way for food, move tree, I want some food, lol This river is completly new, is it disney Magic, lol
BiCoastal Kid Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Wi;lma has increased your property value by a good 10+ grand! The third picture looks like you're being blown over.
AllisonY2K Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 that's awesome! what better way to spend the day than a leisurely paddle down the newly made river. (don't forget to wear sunscreen!)
Erik Johnson Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Oh man. you now have your own personal Jungle Cruise right beside your room. It can't get any better than that.
BiCoastal Kid Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 ^Now all he needs is crappy ride speal!
duffman Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 HAHA carlos, yeah you can thank yours truly for taking a couple of those pictures for you!
Hattuchili Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Two new rivers at your college? It looks like it was not so bad, what Wilma made! I mean now is there more space for new water activitys in the future! However, I am glad you are still okay! --Sören
WillMontu Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Wilma missed us completely. Last year, Frances created a few lakes at UF. There was one in the appropriately called "Surge Area" and a few others. They had to be pumped out because they blocked traffic. On a side note, do you have power?
SonOfBeastSucks Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 However, I am glad you are still okay! Same comment from me!
AllisonY2K Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 ^Now all he needs is crappy ride speal! in this setting, I think the Strongbad RiverQuest Safari Venture would be a fitting spiel.
BiCoastal Kid Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 ^"Oh no, it's a big rock that's about to fall on us, aaaaaaaahhhhhh.... whew, glad we escaped that ooooooone." -Rock "Everybody say 'Hi, da Cheeeat.'" -Hiiii, da cheeat." "mmrph."
Frade Posted October 26, 2005 Author Posted October 26, 2005 Yes, lol, first everything is like Jungle Cruise, then it transforms to water rapids, lol, and finally you get where the baby alligator is ( we have a baby alligator on campus, lol ).
