I know some of our readers have run the WDW one, any comments or suggestions? Interesting to see that this year DL got a version of MNSSHP and next year they are getting a version of the marathon. --Robb "Although in keeping with the east coast verus west coast version of stuff, DL always seems to get the scaled back version!" Gnome Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 hmm, I could walk that and get in in time. I have about a 14 minute mile pace walk, but my calves (or calfs, or w/e) would be sore afterwords.
SharkTums Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 LOL "Scenic Streets of Anaheim"!!! Come on, you didn't clean the place up THAT much! I also agree it's kind of funny that they're getting the '50%' version of the WDW marathon! Good for them though, I hear it's a wonderful event at WDW.
TheStig Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 I ran the half marathon at WDW last January and it was a BLAST! It was really cool to run through Epcot and Magic Kingdom and we ran "behind the scenes" so we could see the giant water plant at Epcot and everything. I ran it in 2:45:40 which wasn't bad (a 11 minute pace roughly). If anyone want's to do it, start training now! I trained with my school for about 4 months and it payed off. Being able to run 13.1 miles without stopping is hard unless you train a lot. So im glad DL is doing this as it's a great and fun event! Colin"I also will never run a mile ever again after that!"C
arrowfanman Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 LOL "Scenic Streets of Anaheim"!!! Come on, you didn't clean the place up THAT much! Damn! You beat me too it! Anyways, I dont pay anyone $85 to humiliate myself. Happiest Race on Earth I guess these guys havn't been on It's a Small World!
ahecht Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 I can't believe they're having them run though the castle backwards!
smells_like_team_disney Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 $85 REGISTRATION  ?! Are these things usually that much? I've always wanted to run a marathon (or half-marathon) but with those prices I'll stick to jogging aroung my neighborhood .
maliboomer Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 ^ That is more then usual, but they do hover around there.
