A co-worker showed me this last week and I found this quite funny. As you know, the 'I'm feeling lucky' button takes you to the first found site on the search results. Search for the word "Failure" and look at where it takes you to. Google has quite a sense of humor

You can also do a normal search as well and see the first result.

Google didn't create that, it was somebody who took advantage of the Google system (not very hard to do at all), to boost it's placement in the search engine.

We could do the same thing to place Theme Park Review as the #1 site for anything! Maybe "credit whore" (it's already #2!).

Man, i wish i knew the tricks. I'd kill to get a good listing.

(I personally don't agree with how things are listed on Google, and think they are totally inaccurate.)

(checks date) Wow, for a minute I thought I was back in 2002.

Yep, old news.

Google listings are mostly ranked on the quantity/quality of the inbound links. The "miserable failure" thing got started by a bunch of bloggers that all placed links in their blogs to a common webpage. They also included the important keywords "miserable failure" to help boost the rank.
