verticalzero Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Anyone heard any news if TTD will reopen this year, or will it be for next season. I'm worried "Project Stealth" at Thorpe Park in UK will get any long-term problems.
coasterguy618 Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 I have heard no news on TTD's reopening. And I do not think Project Stealth will have any long term problems becuase it is kind of like Xcelerator, which dosn't get launched over 100mph, and never got any long-term problems, so I think Project Stealth will be the same.
mark.w Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 I agree. Project Stealth is not as tall as KK or TTD. It should work fine without major problems. A rollback can happen though.
dandaman Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Haven't heard any news, but want to know if any news articles are posted. The only reason I want TTD open is to disperse crowds for the rest of the rides. *I do like TTD, I'd just rather ride a few other coasters there over it.
Pelydr Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Im still pissed this was closed the entire 4 days I was in Ohio the last time I was at Cedar Point( the year the ride opened)! haha
Hercules Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 It's open... http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/news/ttdstatus.cfm Let's just see how long this lasts though...
BarryH Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 We should be surprised when TTD is open. When it's closed, what's so surprising about that?
PhishyBrewer Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 It's like they knew I was coming this weekend. There opening it just for me... whatever
Real Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Until this latest, and what Montey told me via email as "unforseen" malffunction, it only had something like 8 days of downtime. Now yes, it has gone down for a hour here and there, but they only have something like 8 days of total downtime. It was doing VERY good this season untill this latest episode. However, hopefully this is the last of the "unforseen" malfunctions. Man, I know I have said that before.
dandaman Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 An update: TTD is supposed to be running as of 6 p.m. tonight. (It's 4:30 as of this posting...) Frankly, I'n happy that's it open, simply for dispersing crowds.
dandaman Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Just checked the FunCam... Top Thrill Dragster is indeed running.
PhishyBrewer Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Dragster ran a little while on Sunday. Went down for the weekend around 3pm. What now?
