Nrthwnd
Here's my entire BURGER FOLDER to end the year, here. And THANK YOU to ALL the photographers who took photos of everything you are about to see. Including myself, heh. and a HAPPY BURGER-FILLED NEW YEAR, Everybody! This just broke me up, with how so much stuff could be burger-ized. Thank you Aaron for this one. At Tokyo Disneyland, I believe? It just - kind of - looks - like porno - doesn't it? The perfect presentation of burger and fries. Crocodile sliders. Donuts and hamburger patties - the perfect match? Another one that I found 'interesting.' This is great. And confusing, all at once! The setup at BURGER in Amsterdam. Our first actual look at a humongous bunch of FRIES all waiting to be FRIED. First BURGER meal in Amsterdam - I forget what we had - but it was good. Second meal - we scale back what we want - works out great! His third burger, there. And my third burger, there. The HD burger combo, for me; fish and chips for David. In Paris, right below our flat! (Sept.2015) I looooove Japan. A menu. Art. Pizza and Burgers - why not? Thank you Pizza Hut for that. Burger and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups....yeah, well...... Fuji-Q park's MOS has a Fujiyama Burger! Double double. Yum Yum. Yeah, isn't it? AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS! (Thank you Australia for this one) The Monster Burger Depot (the rest explains itself...) Krusty Burger gets it right! A Gobble Burger for the Holidays!

Philrad71
I didn't take any photos of it (should have), but I pan-fried two burgers for myself and Michael last night due to it being too cold and snowy to grill them. Now I have never been a big fan of pan fried burgers mind you, but these turned out really good! I started with making four (two for now, two for another meal) 1/4 pound burgers mixed with a little bit of Worcestershire Sauce and a packet of Lipton onion soup mix (Michael loves this add-on). I just pan fried them for a couple of minutes on each side so they were nice and crunchy on the outside. For the bun, I used a D'Italiano soft kaiser with one slice of Smoked Provolone and one slice of American. For garnish, I used a slathering of bourbon onion jam (can't even remember where I bought it!) and a slathering of hot pepper mustard that I got at the local Italian market down the street. Michael claimed that it was the best burger that he had ever had! While I thought it was a good burger, nothing has been able to top the 'Alice In Pain' burger that I got in downtown St. Pete at Engine No. 9 last year. This little gem is your burger covered with pancetta, sriracha, roasted red peppers, pineapple & sweet chili paste! Engine No 9 Menu I salivate just looking at it! Amazing that I actually stopped to take a photo - the flavor was amazing!
Nrthwnd
^ Look lovely, Phil! Mucho yummy. As for pan frying the beef. As long as you get the leanest ground beef possible, you avoid a lot of fats the burger itself would be frying in. If you get a less lean beef, then you just have to be vigilent on the regular draining from the pan, etc. Other than that - oink. Love me the 1/4 pounders! Duff
^ In-N-Out is my #1 fast food burger. Whenever I travel to California I stop by. But really, In-N-Out, why only the west coast? Get your ass to the Midwest, dammit! ^^ drrooool
Nrthwnd
^ I am hoping to hit an In-N-Out in early September, around Buena Park, I hope. The other I-N-O photo I got. (o;
Nrthwnd
This just showed up on the Phantasialand thread... This is BIG . And delicious. And wild . The Big Beef Raclette is a taste sensation with spicy raclette cheese , 100 % Simmental beef , mild Cheese Taler and potato pepper sticks for that extra crunch . Inspired by Christian Henze , the cooking of the Wild Kitchen 4 ! Now serving, in GERMANY! (o:

Nrthwnd
I think I'm read to burst - literally. We have been using these Groupon deals at FatBurger, and unfortunately I believe I bought one or two too many of them. The deal saved you nearly $10 on a two burger & fries (no drink incl.). Mine saves me about $6. Great deals... One more to go, have to do it this weekend, and it's a single w/fries. And then, no more FatBurgers (or ANY burgers I'd say) for a month (or more). Nrthwnd
Philrad71 recently posted these two deee-licious shots of a burger he recently had... I went completely different with the Poblano Goat Cheese Burger - which is a beer burger (cooked the way you like) topped with beer braised mushrooms, goat cheese and poblano peppers. Throw in some fresh-cut fries covered in vinegar and a Stainless Steel Obsession draft IPA and you have yourself one tasty (if not completely filling) meal! POBLANO = The poblano (Capsicum annuum) is a mild chili pepper originating in the state of Puebla, Mexico. Dried, it is called ancho or chile ancho, from the Mexican Spanish name ancho ("wide") or chile ancho ("wide chile"). Stuffed fresh and roasted it is popular in chile rellenos poblanos. And Phil? THIS would fill me up quite...nicely. (o; The fries look nice and crisp, too.
Philrad71
They were both delicious, Bill! And no....I couldn't finish the meal, despite its delicious-ness. I was close, but in this instance....food won.
Nrthwnd
^ That just happened to us, when we took on steak dinners (and David added grilled prawns) at our fave Italian pizza restaurant last week! They gave us a HUGE amount of food, before and during the main course! It was awesome. And we had to "doggy bag" it home too, heh. Worth it, to make a nice HUGE steak sandwich, later on. Nrthwnd
I just found this mentioned in the Holiday World thread. Seems HW are coming out with a new kind of burger this season. But it's not new. From the response in the thread, there are a number of places around the USA (and probably beyond) who have featured this burger. No matter. Worth trying once, I guess. Behold ~ The Peanut Butter Burger! And they got honey on it as well! Yum? You can barely make out the burger, poking out of the left side, there. Philrad71
^ Peanut butter on burgers must be a semi-popular thing in Indiana, Bill...that is where we had our first one at the XXX diner somewhere in Indiana. The restaurant and burger was featured on DD&D, but I didn't think that it was anything to write home about. It was just...okay. Loved the old school vibe of the restaurant though...and it looks like Halloween! lol
Nrthwnd
^ Well Phil, I guess I am willing to make my own personal Peanut Butter Burger... in a day or so, heh. And I am going to use this great (what's called a) Portuguese bun I found at a local bakery on our main street close by (called The Drive if ever anybody visits this way). They're great for toasting, and cold for sandwiches as well as burgers. And they come quite cheap - about 40 cents a bun! I'm sold! The bag 'o buns. Their Close Up Shot. Philrad71
^ Bill - the rolls look great! I am going to grill Wegmans (our local supermarket) bacon and cheese burgers tonight on Pepperidge Farms toasted onion buns. I may also throw a slab of our smoked cheese on there just for good measure! I will try to remember to take a photo...if I don't gobble it all down first!
