Trip Report - Sand Blaster Opening - Daytona Beach Boardwalk

Well, it looks like the roller coaster is now closed for good. I have not seen it run in a long time.

That's a shame. We made a side trip to ride it in Daytona and we enjoyed it. I've always had a thing for this coaster since at one point it was Delaware's only adult coaster (they're now back to zero) and we would ride it on the way to the beach. Hopefully it finds a new home.

Hold your horses there Coasterbill......sounds like the coaster is still open and some new rides have been added. I always kind of loved this place even if it is a bit sketchy. I could go play skee ball in the arcade by the parks for hours. Add in the Daytona Lagoon water park next door and it makes for a nice little day trip.

Great news. Hopefully the little coaster gets up and running soon. If it does, I need to make a quick trip over there to check it out. Hope we hear more updates as to when the coaster may reopen.

Just curious, has anyone heard if the Sandblaster Coaster has re-opened yet ? I've tried searching and can't seem to find any more info. Looking to do a mini trip there and both Fun Spots for a weekend.

I'm curious as well. It was depressing driving past it and not running when I went through Daytona on Memorial Day.

^ Thanks for that. I have been looking online everywhere to see if it is open to no avail. There doesn't seem to be a web or facey site out there for the ride park.
