Twister II Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 (edited) ^ I'll make it a little easier for people to download. (click the link below) The video overall was fun, but I'd say that you need to work on holding the camera still. It also could be that it looks like the video was compressed at around 15FPS (frames per second). Normal video is 30FPS (or like 29.77 or something....) and that could be adding to the jerkiness of it. But overall, it was a fun day! I'm glad we ran into you guys! --Robb The SFEG video that you watched, here are the specs: File Type: Windows Movie Maker Bit Rate: 481 Kbps Display Size: 320 x 240 pixles Aspect Ratio: 4:3 Frames per Second: 30 that, and how would I hold the camera so it wont shake as much? I know you use a special lens on yours, dose that do anything? And from those specs, how do I make my video better? What are mine compared to your videos? DOWNLOAD LINK: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/download.php?id=12826 How do you get "night vision" on camera? Where it could be pitch black but you can record, and see everythting. For example in the Europa Park video, when Joey is dancing on Euro-Mir. Edited September 25, 2005 by Twister II
robbalvey Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 ^ A wide angle lens will help a LOT! I use a x0.6 wide angle. The manufacturer of your camera should have something similar. I highly reccomend it! --Robb
CoasterCrazy Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 ^Do you use a wide angle lens all the time or do you just use it when you take POV's?
benzo41190 Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 so does the lense float in liquid to reduce shakness? Also, how do you put a lense on the camera?
Martyn Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 It screws on. The lens isn't stabilised at all, it just effectively makes you zoom out even further. Imagine how much more camera shake you get when you zoom in, and how much less there is when you zoom back out, well the wide angle lens helps you display more in the shot and reduces the visible shake. The amount of shake is still the same, but you're zoomed further out so it's not as noticable.
benzo41190 Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 well do I take my old lense out? I tried but i am afraid i will break the camera

benzo41190 Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 its a feature that is on most sony models whats the model number on your camera
coaster1 Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 well do I take my old lense out? I tried but i am afraid i will break the camera Again it screws onto the camera, just like telephoto lenses, filters, etc.
benzo41190 Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 it doesnt unskrew, do i need to take part of the camera apart
coaster1 Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 No the lense has threads on it .. you add attachments like wide angle, telephoto, filters onto the existing lense. They screw on and off as needed. Most attachements will also have threads to add more attachments on. My UV filter has threads so I can attach my wide angle and telephoto.
Corkscrewed Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 it doesnt unskrew, do i need to take part of the camera apart When adding the wide angle, you do not UNscrew anything. You simply screw the wide angle lens ONTO the regular camera lens. Just screw it into the threads. The wide angle should have come with some illustrated instructions. And Night Mode is typically a feature on the camera, usually enabled by flicking a switch on the camera itself (literally, it's a physical button or whatnot).
maliboomer Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I have a Panasonic GS-PV19 Sorry dude, your camera dosen't have any night shooting thingy. If you want to upgrade, I reccoment the Sony Handycams, and look to see if they have Nightshoot, Super Nightshoot, or Super Nightshoot Plus.
RCoasterny Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 it doesnt unskrew, do i need to take part of the camera apart Here's a suggestion: RTFM!!! That's right.. READ. THE. [EXPLETIVE]. MANUAL!!! The manual should have some instructions there about lens threads for teleconverters and wide angle lens adapters.
benzo41190 Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 OK, I broke my camera and I need to wait until it gets fixed. I ordered a Wide Angle lense for like $46.00 and I should get it soon.
Corkscrewed Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Ease up on the poor kid. He's only one.
RCoasterny Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 When you get your camera back from the shop, do this: First, remove the battery if it is attached. Give the terminals on the battery a good lick and put it aside. Best results can be acheived when more than one terminal is licked simutaneously. Locate all the visible screws on the camera body and remove them. Then pick up the camera by the palm strap and give it a good, firm shake. Your camcorder should now be fully prepped to accept a wide angle lens. Your camcorder's manuals should have details explaning about the procedure. (Yeah, yeah, I know.. I should stop watching the Red Green show too much...)
