DougMJr Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Great report. Was going to comment about the date but I see you ninja edited that!
palmerleeberry Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Seeing your photo trip report on Cedar Point got me excited: I'll be taking a friend with me to Cedar Point for a two-day visit in July. One of the photos that showed the estimated wait time for Gemini was 2 hours caused me to laugh. Of all the visits to Cedar Point I have never seen the queing lines ever get full ( same thing to the Corkscrew and the Iron Dragon). Methinks who ever set the time thought it read "2 Minutes" instead of "2 Hours". Of course, the lowest setting is set at "1/4 hour". "I'm not perfect; I just love to ride!!!"

markysharky17 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I live in Florida and am going with my dad on a business trip to Cleveland Ohio and I am going to Cedar Point on 25th and 26th of May. I have never been to Ohio and am 14 years old. I am going with my dad and he has never been to Ohio either. Will the park be crowded on the dates that I go? How long will the lines be? What should I ride first? How should I make my way around the park? Also where is a good place to stay when i am by the park that is not to expensive? Any tips or any other information about going to the park? The only other Cedar Fair park I have been to is Dorney Park. Does it compare to Cedar Points crowds? I love coasters!
Carnage Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 One of the photos that showed the estimated wait time for Gemini was 2 hours caused me to laugh. Of all the visits to Cedar Point I have never seen the queing lines ever get full I have once, on a halloweekends Saturday. On those days they often fill the park to capacity. And if Gemini's queue hits the midway, that means pretty much every ride will have a full queue. No surprise that day we bailed and went back to our hotel room for most the day.
IrishBuckeye Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 @markysharky17 - On saturday the park will likely be busy, but sunday should not be busy at all - moderate at best. Perhaps use saturday as a day to ride coasters that don't usually have a long wait, like blue streak, gemini, iron dragon, CCMR, and Magnum. Sunday will be a better day to snag a ride on MF, TTD, GK, Maverick, and Raptor. As far as lines, I'd say an hour or more on saturday for the top-tier coasters (possibly 45 mins, but around 15 mins for most everything else). On Sunday, you should have a wait of 30 mins or less for everything, except possibly gatekeeper. Have fun!
The49er Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 ^^Wait, so it's basically just the Arrows that have short lines (+Blue Streak)? Arrow fan is sad
