gerstlaueringvar Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 To me it's basically base on which park I'm in. At Silver Dollar City, I think I can easily spend five days to explore everything and feel the atmosphere. But Mt. Olympus is a place I would stay for less time (I believe I'm not the only one since a lot of people in our group were at the bar for a whole afternoon)
FreeFaller Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 That's totally normal I guess! For example, my home park is Holiday Park and 3 years ago, I spent so many days during my summer break there. I enjoyed being there several days in a row but after some months/years my mind completely changed. As many of you have already said, I only need some hours and get some rides in these parks.
palmerleeberry Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I was thinking about another topic that could be related to this one: about the possibility of visiting a park too many times during a season. With my Kings Dominion Gold Pass in hand a few years ago, I ended up going to Kings Dominion a whooping eight times! I don't mean spending eight days in a row either, but visiting the park one day and waiting a while before returning for another visit. And I went to Kings Dominion during Easter weekend, when the water park opened up, a few more times in summer, and two more times during Hallo-weekend. But methinks there is a difference between spending consecutive days at a time compared to multi-visits during a season. One difference would be avoiding burnouts when you allow yourself time to recover in-between visits. But like I have mentioned in a earlier post a few pages back, it all depends on the park and the crowds. "Suffering from burnouts? I'm your cure!"
Projektion Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Considering I don't usually go to many parks, and when i do I spend 3 to 5 days a time, for me I'd say no. Because I usually have extended stays, I know to pace myself when at a park since I know if I don't go on something one day, I can go on it the next which means I never get burned out at the park over my stay.
