jedimaster1227 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 http://www.proactiveinvestors.com/companies/news/34272/lo-q-partnership-deal-opens-door-to-key-asian-market--34272.html Virtual queuing specialist Lo-Q (LON:LOQ) has formed an alliance with a top Australian multi-national them park attraction designer and manufacturer that could see it crack the lucrative Asian market. Lo-Q, which provides queuing solutions for theme parks and water parks, said the partnership with The Sanderson Group will help spearhead the company’s charge into what it calls an “exciting and fast growing Asian market place”. The deal will see both firms team up on the promotion, sale and support of Lo-Q’s products in the region. “This partnership is a significant milestone for Lo-Q,” said chief executive Tom Burnet. “We are delighted to be working with a first class operator like The Sanderson Group as we look to build our business in the world's fastest growing theme and water park market. “We believe it represents a great opportunity for both companies and look forward to combining our innovative technologies with Sanderson's local knowledge, contact base and industry expertise.” Queensland-headquartered Sanderson has over 23 years’ experience in the theme park space and importantly has offices in nine countries across Asia, the Middle East and Australia Pacific. Lo-Q added that one of its senior managers will work in Sanderson’s Asia Operational Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to oversee the partnership and the smooth running of the operation. The project will kick off in November and will initially last for one year with an option to turn the deal into a formal joint venture until this period is up. Lo-Q told Proactive back in June it was looking at ways into Asia, which it called a booming market. The growing theme park business there makes it a clear target for the company, whose products use cutting edge technology so that park visitors spend less time in queues and more time on rides.
Jew Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Lo-Q definitely is the industry leader in "line management." They could do wonders for any of the major parks in China, which all seem to suffer from horrible operations!
robbalvey Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Would love to see Lo-Q in more parks! Random question - who here has used a Q-Bot during a park visit?
Jew Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I have numerous times---it's a great system! I think the cell phone version of it will be huge in Asian markets.
Meteornotes Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I've used it at multiple parks and it rules! I don't think I'd go to a park that has the Lo-Q and not use it. The system just makes a park visit so much better. dt
larrygator Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 I'll use Q-Bot if I go to a park during the heavy part of the season (it becomes a necessity), otherwise I try to avoid the busier parks during the height of the season.
