I like it too but I don't care for the one where you leave a big space for an image. It would be interesting to see what it would look like if you combined the 4 small pictures from DKR's submission into yours. Nice Job!

One of the better ones so far. Here's my comments.

- Remove the picture of me. Having my ugly mug in the image is not going to attract people to TPR! If you want an image of someone riding a coaster, how about the Twister Twins in there?

- It seems a bit "empty", but only *just* - don't make it too busy. Need to find the right balance but right now it needs something more.

- I'm on the fence about the cover photo being all B&W. Part if makes the TPR logo in the profile pic really stand out, but part of me thinks it's overall kind of bland. Not sure what to do about this. Perhaps taking care of the issue above (the empty space) will make this problem go away?

- Overall, it's a good attempt. Closest one I've seen to being something we could use, and quite a few people do seem to like it.

I'd go for another revision and see where we land...

Personally, I'm digging all the Schwarzkopfian influenced pictures in the banner... not that I'm biased or anything.

But in all reality, I like the idea of having a single 'large' picture of one of the TPR coaster-events up. It's simple, it's clear, it shows something we've done as a group, and it reflects what TPR is, and that in the end should be a real marker for the TPR FB page.

What if for the banner, you used a really awesome photo of the Enchanted Oak? Might as well have the option of using the banner to remember and pay tribute to some awesome theme park related stuff that is no longer around. Just a thought.

Made some more changes...

1. Made the large background image super dark, almost more of a design element than a photo.

2. Added a rotating image gallery.

3. Changed the font to match the banner image text in my website design.

Feedback? What parts do you like? What parts don't you like? Of the designs I posted on this page, which is best and why? Any input helps!

^I love the idea!

Just got home from college and had a little time, made a couple slight changes to my current design. Going to start working on something different until I get some feedback on this one from Robb and others.

Slight Changes

I like this simple design, but everyone seems to like a changeable image, so I'll incorporate that into my next design.

^I Love Rides- I've always been a fan of your design work, but kind of hate the font choice. Otherwise, nice work.

I also wonder if Robb wants an image with the option to insert new photos, then why not just pick a new photo every week?

I used the font from my design for the TPR home page so that they'd match. I'll wait to see what Robb says on it. I'm open to changing it, but I do think it would be nice if it matched the new home page. Fortunately the font is always an easy fix.

I also wonder if Robb wants an image with the option to insert new photos, then why not just pick a new photo every week?

It's kind of a tough choice, because a plain image is really "pretty." But if you go with just a large image, then your company is really no different than every single standard Facebook profile because they all, for the most part, have a large image up top. By adding design elements to the image that relate to your company, you're basically "branding" your page, giving a consistent look that will stay the same and convey what your company is. But then the issue becomes, "is it too stale?" If you just have some brand image that never changes it could be boring. So I think the middle ground is to have some kind of rotating image(s) or background to keep it fresh, while also having some sort of consistent brand identity that's in every image to define your brand and keep the page consistent. That's my 2 cents on the issue anyway.

^ Also, it's hard to convey TPR in one photo. Would you put a picture of Piers drinking beer? A picture of roller coaster construction? A picture of a behind-the-scenes tour? An empty train to show ERT? A group event photo? A picture of Gertrude talking? A Donkey? Etc. By having the rotating gallery, you can have several different images to better show all aspects of TPR.

^I completely agree with the idea that a dynamic changing image (like your idea) would keep the FB page current, interesting, and convey the TPR fun well; I just think it will be a lot of work for the tpr admins to be constantly changing a photoshop. I may be wrong, but I think the entire idea of this contest is to pick a static image.

Regarding branding-I've always felt that if you are on the FB page then you are familiar with the brand. I'm probably wrong

You'd really only need to change it like once every few weeks. It wouldn't be like the TPR home page where it changes daily. It'd just have the best few images of the last month or so that convey what TPR is, and what TPR has done fairly recently. It's also REALLY easy to switch those images. If Robb gave me new images, I could probably do it in a minute or two.

To switch one of the images you just have to...

1. Resize image height to 100px

2. Stroke 1px white

3. Place it in line with the others
