krakenmaniac
I'm going to Cedar Point for the first time on June 3rd and 4th, I'm also staying on property so I get in an hour early. Things I want to know: -How the lines are going to be -The best way to navigate around the park (what rides to hit at what time) -Where is the best food? -What rides should I ride on the first day and what rides to ride on the second day? -Are most coasters open one hour early when I get in
beatle11
Early June shouldn't be too bad, but Cedar Point does get very busy at times, so keep that in mind. Obviously the weekends are going to be busier. The hotels have a great price for tickets, so it's a good idea to buy them there. I believe Cedar Point plans to have MF, Maverick, Iron Dragon and Raptor open during that one hour period before the GP gets in, but I believe they open other rides as the become ready. Dragster gets a long line so if it's open early, get on it then, but otherwise, I'd try to be there right when it opens. Other than that, most guests will naturally start at the front of the park and work their way back, so it may be best to work the opposite way. In terms of food, the basic Cedar Point stuff is average at best. They do have stuff like Johnny Rockets, Panda Express, and stuff in the Breakers Hotel like TGI Fridays and Perkins to name a few, if your not worried about the extra money. Have fun! 1pizza14
I visited the park in late June (before schools let out) and it wasn't terrible.. most major rides had less than 45 minute waits. As for the early entry you get to ride Maverick,MF,Raptor,Iron Dragon, and sometimes Windseeker. I would suggest hitting up MF one day on early entry and get a few rides in then. After that head over to Top Thrill Dragster at around 9:45 in order to beat all the general public. MF and Top Thrill have the two longest queues in the park. On the other early entry day hit up Maverick and work your way around the back of the park. I personally like Johnny Rockets and Chick-Fil-A while others may disagree. As stated above Perkins and T.G.I Fridays is a good alternative when you are back at your hotel. Hope you have fun!
Tomes1225
I am also going for my first time this year, I'm staying at the Breakers Express. Raptor, Millennium Force, Maverick, Iron Dragon, Windseeker, and a few other flats will be open early. Also, I have heard Cedar Point is adding Fast Lane passes this year for $50 each. It is a lot, but it gets you on 18 of the parks rides, unlimited times with minimal waits. I will be getting them just because, I'm not sure if I will get the chance to go back anytime soon. krakenmaniac
Another question, is there a special entrance for early entry, im staying at the breakers.
scooterdoug
There is no special entrance for early ERT, you can enter through any of the 3 entrances. If you are staying at Hotel Breakers, then you will be a short 2 minute walk from the Magnum entrance. Personally, I prefer to go to that entrance, run for Maverick, get a few rides in, then head to MF after about 30 minutes of riding. Then, before the gates open for the rest of the park guests, head to TTD. This is a good way to beat the crowds, but bear in mind that TTD can take a while to "wake up" in the morning. They don't let people on until all of the trains clear the top hat in test runs(at least that's how it was when I was there last). Have fun at the Point, I miss it! -Doug
krakenmaniac
Where is the magnum entrance???
scooterdoug
When you walk out the back entrance to Hotel Breakers (the entrance that faces the beach), turn left and walk towards Soak City. The entrance will be to your left. Just ask any of the hotel staff, they'll direct you. It's ridiculously easy to get to, as it's literally right next to the hotel. krakenmaniac
i just got fast lanes since its only 30 bucks each with six people could that change my plan of attack because when dragster is warming up we could get some rollbacks. Basically Im asking if it will change my plan of attack.

Basically Im asking if it will change my plan of attack. I think that your plans should be the same, no need to change. I also have a question, when staying at the Cedar Point property (first time doing this) do you get your tickets included in the cottage/hotel price or do you have to purchase those separately? Carnage
^ You can either book the room itself, or ticket packages that include room and tickets. However the ticket packages are just room + the normal resort price of tickets. So it's the same price to get a package, or buy the tickets separately at $32 each.
