Batman: The Ride - Simulator

Recommended Posts

Ladies and gentlemen, step behind the control panel and take control of this B&M classic, Batman: The Ride! As of 12.27.11, I have been planning, developing, and testing a Flash application allowing you to become the operator of this Six Flags classic. Based on the Six Flags Great America version of the ride, this simulator features exact timing, near-perfect realism, ride spiels, situations such as inclimate weather and broken restraint, and much more all packed into the very first Six Flags-based operator simulator to hit the web.

Sneak peak of the menu:

Make note that the preview should not reflect the outcome of the final game. Images, wording, etc. may change upon release.

UPDATE! (1.1.12)

Happy New Years! Beta codes have been given out to those who qualified, and the game is semi-complete! Just talked to multiple operators at the ride, and I think I am going to have to redo the control panel . Let's hope it will be better!

Talk to you later!

Update - 1.13.12

_____________________

We've run into a few technical errors, which have caused a delay in development. As promised, I will release what I have by the end of the week. I am going to provide a link along with a Theme Park Review exclusive beta code allowing early access to the simulator.

Just so you are all aware:

The only feature that will not be in the beta version is peeps, or people, riding the ride. Everything else will be functional.

Hello there!

Category3 Interactive has been extremely busy trying to meet customers' demands. Things are now thankfully slowing down, and I has decided to resume development on all of his third-party projects (the simulator being on of them). BUT, I'll need your feedback before we continue.

We have created two in-game graphic sets. One of them is a front-facing view of the train. You take the seat of the operator and everything he or she would see, you would see. This is similar to the simulators found at TowersTimes.co.uk. This would be the simplest and quickest to develop.

The second graphic set created is based off a sky view of the coaster. You would view the entire track along with the trains from a bird's-eye-view. This view is found more commonly. This view is similar to those found at TheMagical.nl and RideSims.

We have nearly completed the front-facing view's programming, and have started the sky view programming. However, this does not affect the release date. They would be released at similar dates. No ETA given.

So, the choice is yours. Please comment or personally message this account in order to have a say! We really would like to continue development, but without your feedback, it would be hard to do so. Please help us out!

Thank you for your continued support,

Jacob

Hello I think the Front Viewing one would be best for this type of simulator....also i will be willing to get you free web hosting space if need somewhere to host your site with your simulators.. all you would have to do is purchase a domain name. of course if you already have web hosting no problem.

Quick Update - 3/21/12

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

If you'd like to try a quick beta version of the front-facing view, be my guest.

The beta can be found at BTRB3T4

MAKE NOTE : This is what I had done as of 1-18-12. I have completed much more than this. I actually redesigned the entire UI. This is just basically for reference. The control panel is nearly exact, and the majority of the items are functional. Please, do NOT let this affect the outcome of the game.

Enjoy,

Jacob

I like it. Is there a way to open the ride yet? I couldn't figure out how to.

Also, I think it would be nice if you added some sort of monitor to see where the train is at all times.

Thanks for posting this. I look forward to seeing the finished copy.

Thank you for your feedback. Both a monitor and an "open ride" function have been added to the final game. We have also redesigned the control panel, making the graphics much more sleek.

Looking forward to more feedback,

Jacob

I have no estimate on when the final product will be available for play. It is only a matter of days before I release the game. I've encountered a few errors regarding the updated monitor (to be more specific, the car following the track).

Once I find out what this issue is, I will release it promptly.

Stay tuned,

Jacob
