Physical Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 How many G's is Top Thrill Dragster's launch? That was very intense. If I'm not mistaken it launches at 4.5g, same as KK. Someone could calculate the length of the launch track and the speed you get in X amount of time, but that person is not me

That's the only one I've been on that I know gets over 5G.
Voyager6442 Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Positive: 2nd helix on Titan at SFOT (blacked out), ascending helix on Nitro Negative: Mamba at WoF Lateral: Helix on the Boss; Legend before the modifications made in the 2015-2016 off season Would it be correct to say that, in general, steel coasters pull more positive Gs than wooden ones? I'm finding myself becoming increasingly less able to tolerate high positive G forces on steel coasters. I don't have any problems with wooden coasters. Some of the steel coasters that have given me problems this year are: Avalanche at KD Batman at SFOT Dominator at KD. I rode this late in the day. Mr. Freeze at SFOT Skyrush. I rode this late in the day. If anyone has any comments about how I could counteract my decreasing tolerance for high positive G force steel coasters, I'd really like to hear it. Thanks.
gerstlaueringvar Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 ^Wait you've been on SkyRush and you think Mamba has the strongest negative G?
Johnlloyd Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 I would have to say that the most negative-gs I have experienced on a coaster is on Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland. The most positive-gs I've experienced on a coaster to date would have to be on The Bat at Canada's Wonderland when the train goes backwards through the loop. You feel like you're going to pass out! But, I really enjoy that feel of being held down in your seat!
I Like Theme Parks. Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 For me the coasters that feel the most forceful are more about how long the g-forces are sustained. For example, the boomerang clones have really high f-forces, but they don't feel as forceful as they actually are. Here are the highest g-forces I experienced: Positive: Boomerang Clones (5.2 g's) Negative: Skyrush (-2 g's) I couldn't find the most laterals actually measured. And here are the coasters that actually felt the most forceful: Positive: Alpengeist (The sustained force constantly held from the vertical loop up to the brake run) Negative: El Toro (Rolling Thunder hill) Lateral: Thunderbolt at Kennywood (The entire first half)
RedAppleKiller Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Hi there, Positive: Alpina Bahn (4.8 g) Negative: Expedition GeForce (-1.1 g) Lateral: Probably some Wild Mouse Even though Alpina Bahn had the most positive g forces of any coasters I have ridden, I think the last helix of Euro-Mir feels a lot more intense being the only coaster in which I can't put my hands up or even sit straight in the seat. I also think the g forces of Sky Scream felt a lot more intense. It was the only coaster so far which made me grey out (At the bottom of the non inverted loop)
