paradisecoaster Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Mabye you could build it in a building and remove the roof. Then we will be able to see the ride and the ice, but the peeps won't. Also we will get the feeling it beeing indoors even without the roof. If you look at some of the more bigger realistic spotlights at NE (like DisneySea or Watkins Woods) you see what i mean, the have an off-roof version of their parks, where they simply removed the roof.
funkeymon Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 Thanks for all the input. In the end, I decided to do a little demolition, some relocation, and I got some inspiration along the way. I also have the parks first overview! SCR1.BMP Water Wheel in new location SCR2.BMP Water Wheel. SCR3.BMP New Topspin ride call Tidal Wave. Vertigo's old location. SCR4.BMP New S&S double shot that replaced Blizzard. SCR5.BMP Yay! First overview! For those of you wondering, the park is 120x120.
RCT2day Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Give yourself a hand cause that is a great overview. A fair number of coasters, good use of forests, good use of water, good path system, good stuff my friend. Â As for the new ride replacing the snowman thing, I think it is an improvement. However, I don't get the block and brick walls at the top. Because I see you have the abstract theming next to the exit, maybe use something like that or the brown pyramid. Good stuff sir, keep it up.
funkeymon Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 Bad news. The park will not open. But, not to worry, I have more than one save. So yes the park will continue, but some progress has been lost.
funkeymon Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 Okay, sorry for the double post. New update on Helios, I changed the layout a bit. I also redid that ugly blue building. I relocated the Chaos ride as well. SCR1.BMP Helios new layout! SCR2.BMP Chaos new placement. SCR3.BMP Viper. SCR4.BMP New building that replaced the ugly blue one!
tdub96 Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 My only suggestion would be to cut down on the use of the hedging fence object on the banks of the rivers and forests. In my opinion, that object is best suited for decoration inside the park, rather than for helping finish foliage around the forested areas of the park. Â Everything else though looks wonderful. Big big fan of that overview.
funkeymon Posted September 25, 2011 Author Posted September 25, 2011 Thanks for the suggestion, and I understand. But without the hedge fences, the forest looks empty and sparse. I have made major and minor changes to the park. Some for the better, and some because the guests complain a lot. Sorry for the half picture thing. No clue what to do about it... SCR1.BMP Major change number 1. Boomerang. SCR2.BMP Major change number two. Goodbye Wild Mongoose. Hello Cookery. SCR3.BMP Minor Change. Sun Wheel. SCR4.BMP Overview!
tdub96 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Instead of the hedge hedge, use the little pine tree hedges! Thats what i always do when I'm doing NCS.
Insanity Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Oh my god you've improved so much in the last couple of months, So far I love everything, so fun to see the vibrance in each screen GREAT JOB!
funkeymon Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Thanks for the comments! And right now, I really do not feel like going back and changing every hedge to the pine one. It doesn't look right. Anyways, Wild Mongoose came back bigger and with better capacity. I took out Sun Diver as it wasn't working. It was replaced with one of my favorite buildings in the park! SCR1.BMP Building that I love. SCR2.BMP Psycho Mouse. SCR3.BMP My favorite building/area in the park. SCR4.BMP Overview!
XYZ Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 You can put a more creative name for Psycho Mouse and there needs to be more trees next to the mine train, though other that the park looks nice
funkeymon Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 You do realize that the park is unfinished, and that I haven't gotten to that area much right?
Insanity Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) ^lol. Â Anyways, this park is going along very nicely. Edited October 5, 2011 by QueerRudie
funkeymon Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 I like my new changes, do you? Leave comments below! SCR1.BMP SCR2.BMP SCR4.BMP SCR5.BMP
RCT2day Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Wow, this has come a really long way. Really nice job. I do think the change you made to some things are now better and I'm happy you did. Â A suggestion (or idea) would be to clear some land at the base of a drop in the log glume and fill it with water so you're dropping into that water with the ride. Just an idea. Really good job and great last overview.
paradisecoaster Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I really liked the woodie, why take it away?
TXthrills2010 Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 (edited) Your park is beautiful, and I love the way you use all that scenery to your advantage. it makes me want to pull out my old RCT2 and install it. Keep us updated! Edited October 5, 2011 by QueerRudie
PSiRockin Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Not every tile has to have a tree . Â And fix the bent support on the back spike of the shuttle loop. Â Other than than, great looking hyper and love the tan wooden coaster.
funkeymon Posted October 8, 2011 Author Posted October 8, 2011 Thanks everyone. Sorry for lack of updates... Just added a couple of things here and there. Just to let you guys know, there will be a few more updates until I submit the park to NE. Thanks for all the positive comments! SCR1.BMP I don't think I have shown Radiation yet... SCR2.BMP I made the log flume longer! SCR3.BMP Overview.
PSiRockin Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 This is all turning out to be very nice. Like the wooden/flume interaction. Make sure there's no foliage under the wooden's supports though.
funkeymon Posted October 9, 2011 Author Posted October 9, 2011 Thanks PSi. I removed some of the bushes I found underneath the coaster. I really want to show you guys the log flume's station. I really like it and I hope you do too. I also moved the chairswing to a new location. SCR1.BMP I really like this station. SCR2.BMP Random picture. SCR3.BMP If you know what this is inspired by you get a first hand look at the park!
SoCalCoasters Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Indiana Beach's former Yo-Yo location. ^ It was out on the water.
GriffyTiffy Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Elitch Garden's Wave Swinger? I seem to remember it being over water.... awesome park, by the way
funkeymon Posted October 9, 2011 Author Posted October 9, 2011 Thanks but good try! I'll give a hint. The park is featured in a Coaster Expedition video...
