T-BONDIcoasterkid Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 (edited) So when I got to the park at opening my brother and I made a dash for Volcano, and guess what!? We got to ride it front row with no one but us un the train! Then we rode it once more, and headed to Intimidator 305! we got to ride it in the second to last row. HOLY CRUD! It was more intense then it was last year, I lost vision for about three seconds! CRAZY! Still my favorite coaster! After that we went to Anaconda, and lets just say it wasn't a B&M... Then we went to Flight of Fear and had a blast! Then we ate some lunch, and headed to Backlot Stunt Coaster, and rode it twice. Next stop was Shockwave, the repaint was looking fine! Rebel Yell was next as my first wooden coaster! Man that thing was fun! Not as rickety as I thought it would be! Ricochet was soon after that, and I beleive I lost my gum on that one. Then my brother and I went to Intimidator and put in one more ride in the very back row! After that we went to Dominator and rode twice, it was a walk on. Then let the park. It was the best day of the summer so far for me! Ride Count: Intimidator 305 x2 Volcano: The Blast Coaster x2 Dominator x2 Flight of Fear x1 Anaconda x1 Shockwave x1 Backlot Stunt Coaster x2 Ricochet x1 Rebel Yell x1 Sorry that I didnt get anymore pictures. My moms camera was low on energy. Thanks for taking pictures mom! How about some France in Doswell? Me on top of the Eiffel Tower looking at my favorite coaster! Fountains! yay! Lets start the day off with some VOLCANO IN THE FRONT ROW! I know whos excited for 305! ME! Ok look at the arrow...you cant even see me because I am short. I got an Intimidator 305 statix! more awesome statixness. Sorry I forgot to put my camera shot in here. 305! 305! 305! Edited August 17, 2011 by T-BONDIcoasterkid
Adam James Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 How much did the Intimidator train model cost? It looks awesome!
coasterbill Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 The idea of losing my vision on a coaster just doesn't appeal to me... I'd like to ride that once but I'm not so sure I'd ever need to ride it again. To each his own though and I'm glad you had a great time.
T-BONDIcoasterkid Posted August 17, 2011 Author Posted August 17, 2011 How much did the Intimidator train model cost? It looks awesome! The Intimidator 305 train costed $34.99 at the Intimidator 305 giftshop.
A.J. Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I didn't realize that the side guards on Volcano's seats were so enormous. Must be because of those tunnels, as the other Intamin SLCs don't have them.
T-BONDIcoasterkid Posted August 17, 2011 Author Posted August 17, 2011 I didn't realize that the side guards on Volcano's seats were so enormous. Must be because of those tunnels, as the other Intamin SLCs don't have them. Or maybe they are normal size, but because I am so small they look big.
Intimidator305 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 ^ Yeah that might be a lot of the reason, because I've never once thought while on Volcano that the restraints were big and distracting! I'm glad you had a good trip and enjoyed Intimidator 305 as much as you did! I absolutely love photos of people on 305's brakerun, the reactions to the ride are priceless!
Austin11KD Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 What exactly is the problem with blackouts? I haven't blacked out before on I-305, and even if I did blackout on it, it wouldn't keep me from going on it again.
Intimidator305 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 ^ I'm not sure, I guess it just freaks some people out... I've ridden it 40 times this year and have greyed out everytime (sometimes are worse than others do to speed, seat, whether I'm hydrated, ect.) but yet I love it! I find it part of the experience and it just shows how forceful/intense the ride really is!
T-BONDIcoasterkid Posted August 17, 2011 Author Posted August 17, 2011 Blacking out is one of my favorite parts of 305 because it feels very intense and some of the GP who are mild thrill seekers don't expect it. Thats what freaks them out.
PKI Jizzman Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Some more pictures would be nice! Usually you have more than 10 in a photo trip report
T-BONDIcoasterkid Posted August 17, 2011 Author Posted August 17, 2011 Please read EVERYTHING before the photos, my mom's camera ran out of battery early. Once again I am very sorry about it.
