coastermaniac
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/0/06/Double_Loop_coaster_car.jpg/300px-Double_Loop_coaster_car.jpg It's a coaster car from The Double Loop. It looks like it is on display or something. Can anyone confirm where this might be at? I came across the photo randomly and have been wondering about it. **Note: I didn't know where else to post this.
robbalvey
It would appear to be someone's house! Is that were Prince Desmond lives?
QueerRudie
Maybe that's where Crazy Park Manager has been getting his ideas for all those lovely Arrow coasters as of late...
robbalvey
^ Oooh! That could totally be it! Are you sure this is the real thing and not one of those works of art made out of candy? Perhaps there was a Food Network "Challenge" where the chefs had to re-create a defunct roller coaster car made out of sausage, gravy, and icing? eddie200330
Not to sound too rude, but that car looks like it is worth more than the property it is sitting on. I would so love to have a coaster car in my backyard!!!!
Skycoastin Steve
I don't know about that car, but the rest of them are sitting in Mean Streak's infield.
coastermaniac
I don't know about that car, but the rest of them are sitting in Mean Streak's infield. I've only seen one Double Loop car in Mean Streak's infield.
mightbeawannabe
I think that's a picture of the lead car from the auction....e.g. that was from when it was still at Geauga Lake. Remember: I think.
coastermaniac
^ That would actually make sense because the building behind it looks familiar, like from the park.
PREMiERdrum
That's most definitely one of the buildings in the Coyote Creek area of the park, where Double Loop was located. Nothing to see here... Edit: It appears to be the "Saddle Sore Saloon" building, which was immediately in front of DL's station.
coastermaniac
^ Right in front of DL's station? There really wasn't anything across from the station; it was mainly open space.
PREMiERdrum
The car in the photo is sitting inside the yellow circle here... Edit: or perhaps to the right of the center building, but in that general vicinity.
coastermaniac
It makes sense that the car is sitting to the right of the building, because the red building is 'behind' that building in the picture.
grrt
Ahh of course! I was hoping some hick found a new way to show off all his 'wealth'. Perhaps an elaborate bear trap?
Skycoastin Steve
I don't know about that car, but the rest of them are sitting in Mean Streak's infield. There were two stacked on top of each other in this picture. And while riding, I remember seeing at least another pair stacked in the same fashion on the other side of the building. There might have been two pair, but I honestly don't remember.
DJeXeL
I rode DL on its last season and I'll admit it was one of the smoother Arrow's I had been on. Unfortunately it couldn't be relocated cause the track was welded together as opposed to being bolted. Not to mention it had a tunnel before the lift and that instantly screams quality
mightbeawannabe
^Arrow welded all of their coasters up until a certain point...and coasters have been relocated successfully despite the fact. -Canobie's has been moved twice, Knott's went to Idaho. -Opryland's mine train made it to Great Escape unscathed-same as the 2nd River King Mine Train to Dollywood and Magic Springs. -Ninja at SFStL came from Vancouver. Mostly it was the smaller types, but it's been done. If you look, you can see there are no bolts.
coastermaniac
I've ridden Mean Streak many times this season and have only noticed the one car (mainly yellow). I guess I just haven't been looking hard enough to see any more.
John Peck
I was at that auction 3 years ago, and I took nearly that same picture myself. Still breaks ol' Johns heart.

robbalvey
If that breaks your heart, than this will as well... Ugh you are so right... Diggers should NOT be painted that color!!!! They are supposed to be YELLOW... YELLOW I TELL YOU!!! Not "aqua-marine" or whatever that hideous color is! Why did you have to post that image?!?!? Geauga Dog
I remember those pics were posted by someone who was on the demolition crew at the time but were quickly removed. Truly a sad sight to see.
