Capitalize Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 fire??? The building they used to have the haunted house in burned down.
KDCOASTERFAN Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 fire??? The building they used to have the haunted house in burned down. Â Too bad it didn't take Roar along with it. Â KDfansite has posted the results of their Q&A with park management recently & it revealed some interesting tidbits about the park,as well as confirmed the f act that multiple attractions are planned for the 2009 season.
Jcoaster Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Why Roar? I hear generally good things about that ride, with the exception that it still uses PTC trains.
Superstar94 Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Oh, I did not realize you were talking about SFA.
Capitalize Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Why Roar? I hear generally good things about that ride, with the exception that it still uses PTC trains. Â Its a fine ride, a bit rough but still good. Â Â Can't wait to get to the park this Saturday for my final trip. Apparently Volcano will be getting new trains next season as well.

Yeah that's what I hear as well. Most likely they'll have integrated seating mounts instead of the bolt together mounts much like the rehab that Voodoo's train recieved this season....still I'm more looking forward to the flats from GL,especially that ferris wheel.
Superstar94 Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Apparently Volcano will be getting new trains next season as well. Â Where did you here this?
KDCOASTERFAN Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Apparently Volcano will be getting new trains next season as well. Â Where did you here this? Â Screamscape mentioned it today, also if you look on the Q&A page on KDfansite there may be additional info about it.
Superstar94 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Screamscape reports that anaconda and ricochet may be getting a new paint job in 09.
Superstar94 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I dont know, they have some other rides that need it more.

Me too, that ferris wheel in particular is going to look fantastic at the park. I'm very excited. Â I dont know, they have some other rides that need it more. Which ones do you have in mind? Â Shockwave and Avalanche could use some TLC for sure. Â It feels like just yesterday Anaconda got its orange paint job... I hope they go back to the dark green... Looked better back then imo.
Superstar94 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 They should paint scooby doo a different color.
KDCOASTERFAN Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 They should paint scooby doo a different color. Â Ghoster coaster's paint job is fine it's Shockwave that needs a new color scheme much more than any steel coaster in the park because that blue/orange/green color scheme they've currently got going is just butt ugly. Â I actually like Anaconda's red/yellow paint job more than the original green/orange....it took a little while for me to do so however.
Superstar94 Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 The coasters that need it the most are Shockwave, Anaconda, Avalanche and Rebel Yell. Â EDIT: Combined double posts.
RinkyDink94 Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Does the paint job of a ride affect it's performance?
KDCOASTERFAN Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Does the paint job of a ride affect it's performance? Â No,but it sure helps improve the look of the general area of the park in which a given ride is located.
Superstar94 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I bet they wish it did, because they could save a lot of money if it did.
KDCOASTERFAN Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I bet they wish it did, because they could save a lot of money if it did. Â I swear Shockwave's color scheme makes me want to puke whenever I enter that section of the park.
KDCOASTERFAN Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 They should make all the paths brick. Â Why waste cap ex money replacing perfectly good paths? I don't mind the asphalt at all & it could be worse....they could be dirt paths which as we all know turn into a virtual mud pit in the rain.
BuschSchoe Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 The coasters that need it the most are Shockwave, Anaconda, Avalanche and Rebel Yell. Poor Rebel Yell, that thing has needed a paint job for awhile now.

Poor Rebel Yell, that thing has needed a paint job for awhile now. Â It has been confirmed already that RY will recieve a new coat of paint for 09 but what it needs in addition to that is some major track work, especially on that big drop just before the pullout into the far turn because it was jackhammering like crazy last time I rode it back in july.
