SonOfBeastSucks Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 I have forgotten the name of the major park in or outside of Montreal, Quebec, could anyone tell me? Also, if anyone has been to the city, is it worth visiting? Thanks
SonOfBeastSucks Posted July 30, 2005 Author Posted July 30, 2005 Thanks! I knew I would remember it if I heard the name.
CycloneMan Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 I'm going to la Ronde in four days! Yupeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The park is actually in the city. Â -Dainan "Loves La Ronde" Rafferty
CycloneMan Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 One of the best. I like Knoebels and Six Flags Great Adventure better. But La Ronde kicks ass. The Nintendo Mega Dome as awsome. I love Le Monstre. Le dragon is also themed very well. One of the best themed coasters ever! I was in Montreal for three days last year. This year only two. Â -Dainan "Loves La Ronde" Rafferty
cibernico Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 and La Ronde have also a single ride in the world: L'ovni (UFO ride)... And The Monster is the highest wooden roller coaster in the world... La Ronde have the most prestigious fireworks competition in the world : L'international des feux Loto-Québec.... it's a greeeeeaaaaattt park!!!
CycloneMan Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 L'Onvi was interesting. Le Monstre is the tallest wooden coaster in Canada. Not the world. Son Of Beast is the tallest in the world. But Le monstre is the tallest wooden coaster Iv'e been on. I do like Super Manège.  -Dainan "I hate Le Cobra" Rafferty
cibernico Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 I have to forget something... The Monster is the highest wooden roller coaster in the world with 2 tracks ... Â 7 in the world....
canadianfreak Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Their ride dispatches take forever. The rides break down way to much, but that happens with many six flags parks. Some good rides. Some lame ones. Laronde isn't a horrible park though.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted June 30, 2006 Author Posted June 30, 2006 With the opening of Goliath, I think I may visit the park this year. Do I need to know French to visit La Ronde and the city of Montreal? Also, does anybody have any suggestions on anything interesting to see in the city, or places near Montreal?
downunder Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Ther area around La Ronde is quite nice, and Parc Jean Drapeau on the island that La Ronde is on is a nice park. There is also the Olympic Stadium, I went on Jet Boat Ride in the rapids up stream from La Ronde, and there is this really great outlook over Montreal which is awesome at night but I can't remember where it was.
