CorkscrewFoley Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Peeps tend to head to areas with more rides, and if you look in the pictures Superman's station appears to be in it's own little area, so location could have something to do with it. This is true, I had forgot about that. There had been a few times I had opened a coaster, advertise the f*** out of it, and no one shows...I then add some rides in the area, and bazinga! It's then a hit!
coasterdude5 Posted November 9, 2010 Author Posted November 9, 2010 2000 22nd Season With schools getting out for the summer, the park is becoming more packed each day! The lines are long and the weather is hot - summer has arrived! Word of advice: Run to Superman as soon as the park opens. Superman's line fills up fast! The park has only been open 15 minutes and the line's already getting long. Superman: Ride of Steel's station. Here is the station as seen from the bridge over Swan Lake. Everyone is a little anxious before the train departs. The climb up the 21-story lifthill is a bit nerve-wracking. But it's all worth it! Signing off, Tommy
hulahoop1 Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 This is a great park, and I love the pictures. I hope your working on the next update. I can't wait to see it.
SFMM fanboy Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Love the new addition to the park even though its kid of like copying the real one at SFNE. Still, very nice job on the ride.
coasterdude5 Posted November 10, 2010 Author Posted November 10, 2010 2000 22nd Season Here are a few more photos from my trip to the park yesterday: You can easily see Superman from Vulture's lift hill. As well as the coaster's huge overbanked turn. It packs quite a punch! The amoung of air that you get on this ride is insane. From above it's easier to see the banked loop. Floater air! Signing off, Tommy
ericm95 Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 As usual, it's looking amazing! Can't wait for the next update!
coasterdude5 Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 2000 22nd Season I promise, these are the last of the Superman photos for a while! The ride goes through a lot of twists and turns before all is said and done. But there are also several airtime hills as well! The ride features three helices, not including the giant banked loop. Here's a good shot of the ride's finale. It's over! I heard that something BIG is coming to the park. It will replace RoadRunner. I'm going to try and dig up some more info! Signing off, Tommy
hulahoop1 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I can't wait to see what will be coming to Six Flags South Carolina to replace Roadrunner, maybe it will be a B & M Stand Up.
GrabowskiEnterprises Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 What I would really like to see would be a wild mouse(Mack preferly) and a Looney Tunes type kid's area
SoCalCoasters Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 @ hulahoop ^You do realize that the Roadrunner coaster was in a kids area, and would not have the layout space for such a coaster. Amazing Pics as usual CD5, can't wait to see what you have in store. Who knows, it could be a B&M, since this was the time when Standups were at their high point, but I'm expecting the return of Carolina Calamity. I can see that going well anywhere in the park!
hulahoop1 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Coasterdude5 put something BIG was coming to the park, so I right away though a roller coaster.
CorkscrewFoley Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 ^Ummm...I can't really understand what you were saying...As for something big, I too would like to see a reborn CC for sure.
hulahoop1 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I don't think CC will be coming back to this park, I have a feeling that it will be a big coaster, not as big as Superman but something a little smaller.
HPCrazy Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I'm just amazed at this park! Glad you're back and are continuing this!
PSiRockin Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Beautiful shots. Excited about the new addition.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 This makes me want to reget RCT3 and play it on my computer. Ashame it doesn't have the right capabilitys, oh well. I may just get it for the hell of it !
coasterdude5 Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 2000 22nd Season I went to the park today and grabbed a few photos. There isn't much going on as far as next season goes. There are a few whispers around the park, though. Some say the new attraction will be some kind of giant flat ride, where others are leaning more towards another coaster. Only time will tell, I suppose. I think it's neat that the Superman queue features tons of cool displays to look at while you wait. Unfortunately, I heard today from a guy at the Greenway Cafe that Vulture's days are numbered. The ride is showing its age. Scooby Doo is always a great ride when it's hot outside. Rebellion's fiery logo matches today's heat! Signing off, Tommy
braztaz Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Hmm, I'm hoping for a giant flat ride. Ph, and happy 100 pages!
charles506 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 hope another coaster replace vulture the next few seasons
hulahoop1 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I hope a new coaster replaces Roadrunner, and a new giant flat ride replaces Vulture and obviously they will have to take out the pond or some of it.
imawesome1124 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I'm hoping for a Boss-like woodie to replace Vulture, the terrain there would be good for a coaster like that. I'm more excited about what is replacing Roadrunner, I'm sure whatever it is will be great.
hulahoop1 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I hope a Stand-Up will replace Roadrunner, a stand-up coaster will be a great addition to this park.
KDcoasterMAN Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 WHy am I the only one who wants Vulture to STAY! AHHHHH! First Heatwave now this! Oh the outrage! The park's lookin' great CD5
hulahoop1 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Um why would you want something to stay that old, it has needed to be replaced.
