[RCT3] My first attempt at a dueling layout

Recommended Posts

My first attempt at making a dueling layout...Not the best. I was originally going to do it with woodies but instead I changed my mind and did it with standups instead. As you can see, when you make a dueling layout you have to basically built both sides at the same time to make sure it works out. I can't even rememver how many tries it took for me to get it right.

There's the track layout. I had to mess up quite abit of the ground.

You can also see sorta a "headchopper" section on the blue track right before the helix.

Here's a shot of the peeps riding through the underground section on the blue track.

Guess it will become a racing coaster then... it's really difficult to do a dueling layout hence the reason why it ended up more as a racing. Seems like the peeps prefer the blue side more than the red side. Well it makes sense cuz the blue side turns out to be more intense according to the charts.

Here's a lift hill shot.

Very nice! I think I only attempted to synchronize two rides once... didn't turn out that well.

I would only add that later, you may want to add a longer breaking section before the station (adding a block brake) so that you can run more than one train. But that's pretty minor; it's more to keep the peeps' wait down.

Looks good for your first attempt! A tip for the future though, make sure all your turns are banked like the helix that way the ride will have a lower intensity rating and higher excitement rating, meaning more peps will enjoy it!

I think you should try making a dueling GCI woodie next. If you study the layouts of Gwaizi and Lightning Racers you could probably create a really awesome ride!
