Why dose everyone hate Simple Plan

Because they're a bunch of talentless pretty boys created by a giant record company in order to cash in on the now fading "mall-punk" trend by targetting teens trying to act edgy, while creating music that is as banal and cliche as any standard pop act on the radio today.

Know what your talking about when your trying to dis somebody

1. Simple Plan was created by Peire, David, Chuck and Jeff as highschool friends playing in there garage. And never even getting signed 10 years into there creation of Simple Plan.

2. No such music called mall-punk, according to iTunes its Alternative,

proves that SP are not a punk band, a pop band, a rock band or whatever label you can come up with… they are just a great band… a band that strives to write great songs and put on a hell of a show!

3. Teens trying to act edgy, huh? Thanks. I dont need to act edgy to know good music.

4. That "banal and cliche" music is what people like, why not make it?! For example, if life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

I voted against Green Day only because "Good Riddance" has been overplayed so much.

Now if you want a slow song with a punk edge, check out these covers:

New Found Glory - My Heart Will Go On (yes, from "Titanic")

The Ataris - I Remember You (Skid Row cover)

or heck, use Blink-182 "Adam's Song"

I agree with that. I agree with it a lot.

According to iTunes, there's no such thing as hardcore or metal either... oops.

Strange, I don't need to act observant to see that a person can't know if they have good music tastes or not if their scope is so limited that they post a poll on music with two choices... from the same genre no less.

I'm not gonna mention your misuse of that saying. If people didn't start making different and original music, nobody would have had the opportunity to decide if they liked it or not. If people years ago didn't start making the the type of music you listen to a while ago when IT was different, and they just made "what people like," You'd still be listening to stuff like Mozart and Bach... which is oddly enough, hundreds of years older and hundreds of times better than the two choices listed here.

Know what you're talking about before you try to diss somebody.

The problem with your reasoning, Twister II, is that most people like what they are told to like. Objective listening is a rarity for most people.

EDIT: This is sort of unrelated, but at the same time somewhat helps illustrate my point, and also makes me incredibly furious:

Britney Spears reportedly wants to rush a new album into shops, because she's running out of money since becoming pregnant. The pop star and husband Kevin Federline are struggling to fund their celebrity lifestyle and the recent $7 million purchase of and renovations on a new Malibu, California house, because neither are working - Spears rested her mic after conceiving the couple's first child, and dancer Federline hasn't worked for over a year. According to New York Post columnist Cindy Adams, the panicking pop princess wants to release another moneyspinning disc. Adams reports, "Mrs. Federline recently made a quiet call to her record label. The gist of the discussion: We've got to get money in the house. Cash flow is going down. How about we cut another album?"

And America will fork over the cash without thinking twice.

Too bad BritBrit is preggers, cause I'm sure Uncle Hugh would pony up some cash for a photo spread.

What about K Fed's awesome rap career?
