Does anyone use RSS feeds?

Okie.... I'll resurrect this....

 

I'm starting to use RSS feeds more and more being that I am so freakin busy all day long. I can't possibly visit all the websites that I would like to or need to. With RSS Feeds, I can get information right into Outlook which I pretty well have up ALL.... DAY.... LONG.

 

Yeah this is a busy forum, but an RSS feed COULD make sense for some. Judging from the comments left in this thread a couple years ago, I guess it's a matter of the needs of the few versus the needs of the many.

I know this is an old thread, but yes, I do use RSS feeds. I look at them on my phone when I can't get to a computer and love them! They're great little snippets of information - on my phone I have Screamscape and have been wishing TPR had something like this. Sounds like a great idea to me, I would sure use it!

Pretty much I think for what you would use um for, twitter or facebook could do the job.

I use Google reader for my RSS feeds, but I think fatdaddy is right, twitter and Facebook is all I really need.

I tried them once, but they just reminded me of emails. I used them only in relation to front page updates. They ended up being a chore to go through. It seemed easier to just go to the main pages for the information.

Google Reader is the best use for them I've found... Besides that, I don't really use them. As for this site, I already get email updates which is basically the same thing.
