SFMM Need advice

Well I was hopeing to hit the park during the week, but it looks like it will either be July 16th on a saturday, or the 17th on a sunday, which day would be better to go?

 

 

I'm thinking Sunday, but I have also never been

Well, your best bet would be a weekday.

 

But if you have to go on those two days, I would go on Sunday.

 

1) All eyes will be on Disneyland, for the 50th.

2) I think theres a lot of stuff on TV that day, and SFMM is one of those parks you dont go to if your TV show is on.

Go on Sunday. Its less likly for there to be crowds. If it is crowded, there is Fastlane. If its crowded, get fastlane. BEWARE! You get 4 Fastlane tickets for $15.00. Fastlane will not work on X. So if you go when its crowded, be the first one there. WARNING! If you see Xs line right up the ramp into the station, it will take an hour thanks to stupid ride operaters . Its worth it though. Best coaster in all the West coast! 8)

Run to X. Thats the most important thing to do. I'd also hit up Superman early if its running. Last time I went they allowed us to go on it while it was still testing. (They needed the car to be at max weight). The crowds shouldn't be too bad. I'd actually be suprised if Fastlane was needed. Unless your one of those people who can't stand a 30 line at the max

 

Also, the ride ops at X aren't stupid. I see them running around trying to get the trains dispatched more then any other ride op team at the park. Its just that it takes the trains so long to load.

I couldnt aggree more .. run to X first and get it out of the way. Last time we waited close to 45mins at the stairs, not due to slow ride ops, they were some of the best in the park, but it just takes so long to load the train, they did a good job and had very little stacking.

Hey i've been to SFMM twice only in Septmeber and both times rode X like 6 times and i heav a question. Do they ever run more than 1 train? Everytime i was ther ethe reason for the queue being so big was the fact that only 1 train was runing!

Sunday probably won't be crowded. I agree with Mr. Six, hit X first and get that out of the way so you can focus your day on all of the other rides. Well, I went on X first thing in the morning once on a weekday during the summer and I ended up waiting the longest I've ever waited (4 hours). Fastlane isn't a must, but if it is crowded, use them.
