FeelTheFORCE
While I find the launch to be boring (After Top Thrill Xcelerator doesn't feel all that exciting either to be honest). Believe it or not, Xcelerator's launch is, in fact, slightly more intense than TTD's.

Believe it or not, Xcelerator's launch is, in fact, slightly more intense than TTD's. I have heard that, and while I find it to be technically true, Dragsters launch feels much more intense due to it's length.
Wes
Really? To me, Xcel's still feels way crazier than Dragster.
ghost007jas
Perhaps I am the minority, then? I personally felt that Dragsters launch, mostly due to how long it lasted, killed Xcelerators launch. However, to each his own.
FeelTheFORCE
Yeah Wes, same here. I thought Xcelerator was noticeably more intense and crazier than TTD because if the substantially short launch track. You can just feel TTD start to coast and stop accelerating around 65%-75% of the way through the launch because it's already reached 120 MPH. PURE
I've been on both and to me they're pretty much identical. I remember TTD's feeling of acceleration being much more forcefull, and that feeling lasting a longer period of time making it pretty intense. But with Xcelerator's push being much quicker, its almost like it barely happens, which adds to its intensity. Superman's launch is tame, its forces are weak, and even Burkhart confessed to the ride hitting 85-88, making the rides uptime more possible. He also said the ride has about 3 seconds of weightlessness, when the ride was originally billed to have 6.5. My favorite part of the ride is the change from going forward to straight up, because you can feel the forces on your body. Other than that I barely feel the weightlessness or other "G's" the ride is claimed to have.
evil saltine
The LSMs on Superman double as brakes when the car rolls back. With LIMs, it requires a separate braking system. That's one difference. Maybe it hasn't been done (LIM braking), but is there some technical reason why it couldn't be done?
