This is one of those parks where you have a big storm of ideas and you want to build them ASAP.

January 2, 2007

Today, Six Flags executives have revealed that they plan to build a new $100 million dollar park in the Keystone state. After Six Flags announced that they wanted to make their parks more "family-friendly", the company wants to make this one fit the criteria. The location of the park will push engineers and architects to the extremes.

Mount Frosty Ski Resort in the Blue Mountains used to be the best place to ski in southeast Pennsylvania, but after a few bad seasons, the resort couldn't afford to stay open any longer. A few years later, Six Flags buys the property, but all that's left is a skilift running from the base to the peak of the mountain.

The park's plans include a new wooden coaster, a new kiddie area, and a bunch of other rides attractions and shops.

March 2007

Construction Progress on Six Flags Blue Mountain is moving at a steady pace. The new wooden coaster called Xepher is almost completely built and is currently starting its test runs.

Xepher is 110 feet tall and reaches a blazing speed of 62 m.p.h. The coaster's trains were used at the park's old sister park, Six Flags New Orleans on Mega Zeph.

Other happenings have been going in the new park; the path to the main entrance has been layed out, the old chairlift was refurbished, and a new midway was built.

The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift; The Ride

Get ready to do some serious drifting in 2008 when the world's first drifting coaster opens. Tokyo Drift will feature a 70 ft lift and a 55 foot drop over the highway; numerous hills and dips for some extreme "airtime" along with a couple of steep turns including a 90 degree banked turn-around back over the highway and a trick-track section which will send the cars flying out of control!

Also being added next to it is Loony Tunes Family Forest. This new area will be the perfect area for the family with a mix of kiddie and family rides; this includes Acme Mountain Xpress which is a small spinning coaster the circles the whole park area.

A few restaurants, games and facilities still need to be finished, but I think this is how the park is going to open.

Apparently this isn't the final track color scheme and some more scenery still needs to be added

They also fixed Xepher and made it have a different layout. The original track layout seemed to intense for riders from what I've heard.

There's already rumors for the 2009 season. They are saying something big is coming which would more than likely be a coaster. Some say it will be very tall in height or it will be inside, but others are saying it will be a new type of coaster. Disney might also have a VERY small part in this coaster too.

January 2008

Today, to promote the park to the locals, the park had a walk-through open house and it seemed like a big hit. Rides were given free of charge on the park's ski lift to view the park, refreshments were handed out and the manager held a press confrence. One of the questions I asked him was why one of the dining areas in Loony Tunes Family Forest was on the second floor? He replied," We have a very special attraction planned to be using that building so we've decided to make the dining area only temporary. The new ride should debut sometime in the next few years."

Speaking of LTFF, the area was recently completed. A new carousel was built called the Merrie Melodies Carousel and a new dining area was added and the trolley ride's station was completed.

Land has also been cleared along side on the hill.

Here's some info I find interesting:

Intamin releases info on their new type of coaster, the Hard-Rocker. The new coaster which is similar to Space Mountain will be a dark ride coaster where rider's rock out to their favorite tunes while going through an incredibly fast course with loops and tight turns.

Disney sells all their removed and retired rides which have been found in a old warehouse. Some of the objects that were found inside are old scenery to the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride, the old submarines, old monorail trains and old machinery for the ride, Skyway buckets, old ride supports and all the machinery to go with the ride. Along with a bunch of other stuff. Disney officials say that the old monorail also comes with pieces of track that they kept incase they need to replace it and the ride is capable of running like a shuttle. That ride and the entire Skyway was purchased by 2 different parks in the northeastern U.S. The 20,000 Leagues ride is still up for sale, but reports are saying that Six Flags is looking at it.

hmm. What could this be used for in the future?

Could this be the "special attraction" the GM was talking about?

P.S.

I decided to have a little fun with this one.To find out what the ride will be, search through any RCT3 related websites. This is something new to the game and is being created by a great game player.

Happy searching!

April 2008

Construction on Six Flags Blue Mountain is nearly finished and all paths, rides, buildings and games are done. Admission for 2008 is set at $24.99 and is set to open on May 25, 2008 at 10 a.m.

In other news, the construction of the new ride on the side of the hill is coming along great. the station, lift and prelift have been installed. part of a building is being built. This does seem to be the Hard-Rocker coaster that the websites have been talking about.

The overall park at the base.

hmm...

The summit. The tower had to be brought up the hill by helicopter.

June 2008

Today Six Flags Blue Mountain officials released information that the park plans to add 3 new company-owned businesses in the park. The stores are going to open in the 2009 season.

Dippin' Dots will open 3 new locations in the park; one on Loony Tunes Family Forest, one next to Xepher, and one on top of the hill next to the Ski Lift station.

Hollister, a popular teen clothing store is planning on opening up one location at the park on top of the hill. This store along with the Dippin' Dots store will be a few of a couple of new stores opening up at the top of the hill. The store will sell all the clothing found in a normal store along with it's heavily themed atmosphere.

Six Flags staple, Johnny Rocket's plans on opening a location across from SkySwatter. This will cause the temporary removal of Disaster Shack, a themed, spinning rotor ride.

New on the new coaster is coming soon!

As far as content, not bad, but as far as names, it's not my favorite, or realistic. Blue Mountain just sounds odd. Doesn't sound like something Six Flags would name their park, then again this is YOURS. Also, Tokyo Drift is legally owned by Universal, not Six Flags, but then again, this is a game, and possibilities are endless...sort of.

I think this park is pretty nice. I think due to the height of Tokyo Drift's station, the simple walls look rather bland. I suggest you add a little extra to its sides to make it look better. But, I will give extra kudos due to the fact that you used that type of coaster - very few people had seemed to use that ride. Since my Adventure Gardens is aimed towards having exotic rides, it was a good idea to use that as a Family Coaster.

-Tanks "thanks for the idea" 4me05.

August 2008

If you rode Space Mountain and Top Thrill Dragster, now get ready to take on Mach V!

Six Flags Blue Mountain is about to open their loudest, fastest, and longest coaster in the park! Riders board spaceships for a cruise around space while rockin' out to The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The coaster will feature tight turns, airtime-filled hills and awesome effects and scenery. This includes a 100 ft tall top hat and 100ft tall loop. This coaster is being built and designed by Intamin A.G. Opening day will be on Memorial Day 2009.

So, is this gonna launch out into the loop, or just fly down that hill into the tophat? Either way, looks pretty sweet. Kudos on the park so far. If Wild was out for Mac, I'd definately dl this when it was done.

Because I recorded the beginning of Rockin' Space Mountain and I have the starting goes along with it. I even added a countdown.

Late July 2008

The Eagle has landed at Six Flags Blue Mountain for the 2009 season! Back in the day, parks had cable car rides that would reach far up to the heavens moving guests from one side of the park to the other. Unfortunately, most parks have closed theirs and only a few are remaining. Thankfully for the park, we have saved one of these from the junkyard.

In 2009, The Eagle's Flight Sky Ride will fly over the park in memory of the ones from the past. Originally built at Walt Disney World, the ride was bought at auction from Disney and the park is currently refurbishing it.

Get ready to fly in 2009.

Along with Eagle's Flight; and other attractions are expected for the 2009 season.

More soon!
