In 1938, a German immigrant named Rolph Zimmern began his life's dream by opening up his rollercoaster park on the shores of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Named "Park auf der Bucht", the amusement park was situated almost directly in the heart of the German settlement. Zimmern expected that his park would not only cater to both his comrades in the settlement, but also the other residents of Green Bay. Unfortunately, less than one year after the park opened, World War II broke out in Europe. Because of Germany's involvement in the Triple Axis, many non-German residents of Green Bay completely shunned the park. While several of Zimmern's friends tried to help him out by visiting frequently, Park auf der Bucht suffered throughout the World War. Sometimes the park would go days without having a customer.

Even after World War II ended, Green Bay residents continued to completely ignore the park. In wasn't until 1946, over 4 years after World War II, that the park suddenly flourished.

The short but intense rise of Park auf der Bucht began with the visit of a large group of teenagers. They got in trouble with their parents for visiting, but soon several families were visiting the park to see what it was like and gave it rave reviews. Over the next decade the park became a real powerhouse that didn't stop until Zimmern sold the park to a group of developers.

This is the Alpenblitz, one of the more exciting rollercoasters in the Midwest. The ride was a deranged and airtime filled course that thrilled riders from 1938 all the way until 1950.

Wow, did I type all that?

Enjoy.

In final, a lift hill shot. Umm, can anyone see the end?

Out towards the lift.

Hidding in there is a ton of airtime. There was an estimated 13 moments of airtime.

One of many slow days.

Although you can't see much of it, there was plenty of twisted and crazy track.

OMG! Here's a new one.

Alpenblitz... THROUGH THE FOG!

The train, waiting for someone to come and visit.

The curved station which was empty more than it was crowded.

Park auf der Bucht was known for it's massive amounts of fog. Seeing any track on some days was impossible.

One word: WOW

Amazing coaster. Lots of airtime, funny turns, and, and.... Yeah this was just fantastic!

EDIT: I forgot to say - bad colour, brown would be better.

That coaster is amazing. Problem is, if it was real. The park would put trims on it.

Seriously though, this is one of the best wooden coasters in No Limits I've seen.

Good Job!

Not trying being mean here or anything but I don't think its THAT amazing, yes its good but it did have a few pumps here and there and it is'nt the best layout I've ever seen. However it is fast and does has a lot of airtime!

That's a pretty good coaster. Good speed and nice airtime, there's just one thing I see that has already been pointed out and that's some of the transitions in turns are a little rough, and some of the turns might be taken a little too fast, but otherwise, great coaster and thanks for the video.
