Sue Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Since we hadn't been to Disney in about 5 years, it was time for a return visit. As is our tradition, we visited all 4 parks in one day starting with Animal Kingdom at 9 am and ending at the Magic Kingdom at midnight. Even though it was a bit more crowded than we expected, we still managed to ride everything we wanted plus more. The only thing we passed on was Test Track due to the line(even the single rider line was long), but we had already ridden that on previous visits. We also had the expert guidance of our friend, Chris, who used to work there(he was also a Rolling Thunder operator at SFGAd before moving to FL). First stop: Animal Kingdom Ride Count: Expedition Everest(3x) and Dinosaur This was our first time riding Expedition Everest. It was fun, but nothing spectacular. Next stop: MGM Rides Ridden: Tower of Terror, Rock N' Roller Coaster, and Backlot Tour Next stop: Epcot Rides Ridden: Nemo(plus Turtle Talk with Crush show), Mission Space, Journey Into Imagination, and Gran Fiesta Tour boat ride in Mexico Chris and I in Germany--too bad it's not the real thing! I just had to take a picture of this! Next stop: Magic Kingdom Rides Ridden: Carousel of Progress, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Barnstormer, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain(2x), People Mover, Stich's Great Escape, Philharmagic, and Snow White's Scary Adventures
lil jimmy norton Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Awesome tr. I was just talking to my friends about planning a trip to Disney World next summer. This just got me really excited to try and really plan this thing out.
Team Thriller Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 You didn't ride Test Track? Was it closed? Great TR. Love the pictures!
Erik Johnson Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Thanks for posting all of these photos, Sue, during your vacation. Extra bonus points for Chris's Gator shirt.
Groteslurf Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 ^^ The lines were too long Sue wrote. What a wonderplace place Orlando is : 4 top themeparks in 1 day Great TR and pics !
Sue Posted December 16, 2007 Author Posted December 16, 2007 Test Track was something we planned on, but it had a long line even for single riders which I what we usually do. Since we had ridden it a couple times on previous visits, we decided to pass this time. It is possible to hit all 4 parks in one day as long as you plan it out in advance and know exactly what you want to do. We did miss not being able to see Soren in Germany though.
socalMAN123 Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 The more and more that I look at the holiday decorations on the MK castle, I realize how much we actually got screwed. *sigh* Oh well, I guess I have to deal with large amounts of "pigeon poop". Awesome TR, when we were there last year we found it hard to hit all four parks in one day and still do the stuff we wanted to do. ---Brent
mavalasko Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 It looked like an absolute blast - solid TR. But man, 4 in one day.. as if you weren't completely pooped by the end of it. Oh and that 2nd last shot of the Cinderella Castle.. stunning.
crazydaveh Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 I have done the 4 parks in one day adventure many, many times. It can be exhausting but fun. I did like all the pics, except for the UGLY Gator ones... GO DAWGS!
WillMontu Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 I agree on the bonus points for the Gator shirts. I've found that the queue times for Test Track aren't very accurate. Last night both lines were 20 minute wait, and they were more like 5 minutes (save for the preshow). Even on the busy days I've been able to get a few rides in when using the single rider line.
