cycamps
I'm stuck on Slayer's song... I can't get that mosh part (I play on Hard)
Gnome
^ it took me 2 days to beat it. Basically I just sat in practice mode and got my fingers used to going that fast. I usually have better luck when I play it with an upstroke for some reason. It's not like I'm perfecting it, but I hit enough notes to get through it without needing star power.  So basically, one of the things that made the first and Guitar Heroes so good is definitely not apparent in GHIII. For one, there wasn't a progression of difficulty through out the game. To me it just seemed like it went from easy and playable to extremely difficult. (Raining Blood, i have no idea how I beat you, but at least there was a practice mode for you)  But what's really pissing me off is they have different songs that you can only play in different sections of the game. For example Suck My Kiss can only be played in co-op... what the hell? Why is it that I can beat all the songs and not be able to play it in the free play section? Worst of all... I can't even practice or play any of the boss battle songs. It's so retarded.. I can't even beat the final boss. If I could practice it... then maybe I could beat the finall boss.. but the option is not even there to do such!  It just takes what would have been a fun game and turns it into a frustrating peace of crap. It totally defeats the purpose. Its not like I'm playing on expert and I'm trying to go for something that is suppose to be REALLY difficult... I'm playing on hard and I just need a challenge not a freaking brain aneurysm.  Who else got the game and is just kind of pissed off about it? Dare I say it, but I'm going back to halo.   Ok, here are the solutions for both of your problems:  1. Get a friend (with guitar) and play co-op mode. You can play it on easy if you want, it doesn't matter. Once you beat the co-op "bonus" songs (like Suck My Kiss) in co-op mode, they will be available in the quickplay menu on all difficulties.  2. Beat the game (including bosses) on medium. This will unlock all of the boss battles so you can play them on all difficulties in quickplay (and practice mode).  Hope that helps... already accomplished both of those... and then I had my friend beat it for me. But I was mainly upset because I wasn't able to beat it in the difficulty that I pretty much had no trouble at all beating... until that song, then it became impossible. KrakenKing
I'm stuck on the Slayer song too, but I can beat all the other songs on that Tier fine. (At least on Hard). Guess I just have to practice more. Â Rock Band tomorrow! I haven't heard any negative reviews except from people that own GH3 for the Wii... only because Rock Band isn't coming out for the Wii (At least for now). Â Harmonix said the sets at Wal-Mart and Best Buy are NOT the final product. They were just rushed products to get out for demo purposes only. They said the real product will be nicer quality. Â IGN posted their review (6 pages) and overall gave it a 9.4 (Guitar Hero 3 receiving an 8.9)
cycamps
Who has Rock Band? I think it's awesome. Last night, I got 3 friends to do world tour mode with me. It's a lot more complete game with the addition of the drums and microphone. It's going to be hard to go back to Guitar Hero now...
exit english
In GH3, it's all about the bonus songs, and it's all about F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.

I was at my local video game center playing it with a co worker and the center's owner, plus someone else. Yeah, I am never going back to Guitar Hero, but wow, that bass pedal adds so much difficulty to the drums. I read a article yesterday that said, and I believe it would too, that if you play the drum kit, your not playing a game, your learning a instrument. mcjaco
^ How can you never go back to GH3 if you don't own it? And if you're a drummer, which you stated, you'd have to know how to use the bass drum pedal already. How is that tougher then?  Just asking, one drummer to "another." spaceace12
What I feel is tougher is that when I play on the drum on RB, you have to hit the bass pedal when they say. When I play the real drums, you just feel it. As for the other, I have played it a little and I had GHII.
mcjaco
Technically, the bass drum beat should mimic the bass line. You don't really "feel" it.
odene497
I've only tried GH once at our local Game Stop, but this morning during early bird specials, I bought a guitar and GHIII, and I love it. Easy is nice, medium is a challenge. I've never played the others so I'm not bothered by what this one doesn't have. So far it's awesome, I'm going to go play some more now. californiascreamer1
I really enjoy the challenge of Guitar Hero 3. I got to 75% on the expert campaign and beat the hard campaign. It is challenging but fun. I still cant understand someone getting that mad because they cant beat a challenging song. It is desighned to make you play harder and to challenge yourself. I will admit that somtimes i get a little carried away but i dont blame Red Octane or the game. I blame myself for not bieng abel to complete the challenge and progress in the game. Its not the games fault for you not beating it.
