DBru Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 My friends and I are heading to the park this Saturday and I have a few questions....... 1.) How much does each haunted house/attraction usually cost? 2.) Are lines usually long at the park during Fright Fest? 3.) 2 of us are wanting to ride the "Sky Coaster", does anyone know how much it is per person? Thanks for the help!
Goliath513 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I believe the prices are the same for all Six Flags parks. 1. $15 for a wristband that allows for unlimited visits. 2. Longer than normal operating days. 3. I think it's $25 each for two riders.
mudvayneimn Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 1) Can't really help you with this one. 2) Most likely heavier than a normal day (that's not too bad though. You just gotta watch out for Chang and Thunder Run). 3) Last time I went to the park, the prices were: 1 person: $20 2 people: $30 3 people: $40 The prices might have changed since the last time I visited the park. Also, since it is later in the operating season and it's fright fest, the park might have special prices going on for the skycoaster. Hope that helped you a little bit more.
ConleyKE Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 The sky coaster is currently $15 a person. And the lines really haven't been bad latley, but hit the hunted houses early in the evening as those tend to be the longest lines in the whole park. To bad I'm not working this saturday. It would be nice to meet you.
DBru Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 Thanks for all the info. I have a Six Flags season pass and just discovered a "Bring-a-Friend" free coupon as well as a "ride the sky coaster for $10. So I am pretty excited about that. Also, do haunted costumed characters come out when it gets dark and walk around the park? The only time I have ever been to Fright Fest (at SFKK) was many years ago and my parents took me home before dark because I was still really young.
Eric_Smith Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I think that you could have called the park for all that info.
dpxtreme Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 ^I think you should let him ask the questions he wants.
ghost007jas Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Also, do haunted costumed characters come out when it gets dark and walk around the park? Isn't that like.. the whole point of the event? lol.
IggyACE Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Well from what I read on their web page, it sounds like they only have one haunted attraction ( house/walk through) which is one more then they had last year. Sounds more kid friendly to me which is what it was last year! Craig
DBru Posted October 7, 2007 Author Posted October 7, 2007 Well we just got back and I'd like to thank everyone for your help! The park was nearly empty, except for the 1 1/2 hour wait to get into Nightmare, Inc (the only haunted attraction they had) which costs a $3 upcharge. The skycoaster was amazing, I had never done one before and it scared the crap out of me! We rode every coaster multiple times, including 8 rides without getting off on Chang. No coaster had over a 10 minute line all day. Every ride was running (excluding Superman Tower of Power, obviously, and the pink side of Twisted Twins) and the staff were very friendly. They were really involved with the crowd. For some reason, they were only letting 12 people at a time on the Rainbow, does anyone know why? Something just didn't feel right..... Chang was the only coaster that ran 2 trains. T2's second train was on the transfer track with all of the restraints open. Greased Lightnin' is stilled being braked heavily, but not as hard as it was last year and earlier this year.Oh, and I LOVE the Elvira movie that is being show during Fright Fest, easily my second favorite video on that type of ride, Spongebob 3-D being my favorite. They had a 2-dollar special going on for all drinks, which is pretty good considering it is usually $3.50. Thunder Run and Twisted Twins both need some work, but are still pretty good. Thunder Run still has the AMAZING airtime it always did, and TT's first drop in the back still yanks you out of your seat. I noticed though that you can see the cars shuffling side to side as you maneuver the track. There was plenty of smoke along the midway as it got dark, but we stayed till closing and saw no costumed characters at all.....Oh well. We had a great time and I will be back next year! It's been a great coaster season!
