I saw this one yesterday. It's right up there with Tommy Seebach's Apache music video.

No offense, to the 30 somethings out there. But this should be a coaster comparsion to the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, think of it both were sung by folk singers and both tell a good story.

Uhm, the guitar is just a prop. The music is all electronic. No guitar at all.

 

This video gets two thumbs up from me. A coaster as good as The Phoenix certainly deserves its own cheesy song.

It's interesting to see how the area the Phoenix resided in has changed over the years. Pre-Antique Cars, Pre-Cub Cars, Pre-Fandango... You can see the original controls for the brakes before they switched to pushbutton control. There's even a nice cameo appearance of the Flying Turns' designer- John Fetterman.
