As GCI was building Troy in Toverland, i at my turn, had build the 3d model for Toverland. But now that Troy is finished, i could build a far more detailed model! So here are my renders of the Millennium Flyer Trains and the fly through station. Also you can see the progress of how i did it!

Starting of with the leadcar:

And the base for my coach:

Without the seats

But now with seats!

Tada!

Building up the station:

No with a floor:

And roofsups.

Again:

And finally the coach:

Note: All the textures that i've used building this model, are in fact real Troy textures/photo's!

Wow that looks amazing. Are you planning to do more track/surroundings of the station?

Still using auto-support, rene? I hope you fix that when you put the trains on

Well, what do you call auto-support. In Max you have the function "array" witch does a pretty goed thing on supporting the track. I know, not totally GCI style but save's me a couple of days work

the autosupport in NoLimits, it looked the same when i autosupported my version. Don't tell me you 3dsmax-ed the same way NL-autosupports does

Some Gorgeous work man! I too use 3ds Max at work and love it. Have you ever used Mental Ray's daylight system? You get some terriffic shadows and lighting down to time of day, sun position, season, etc...

Glad to see another 3d person. Again, great work.

Yups, i worked with the Mental Ray daylights in the renders on the previous page But still, with Mental Ray, you have to put allot more time in your materials to get some effect on it from your light and shadows. Once you've learned how to handle Vray, it's getting allot easier, but at the same time, more difficult. Because every material effects the other ones, you have to be really carefull with how you render it and that kind of stuff. Do you have some sample's of your work?

You could seriously get a job modeling for a coaster company.

Would it be possible to import this model into nolimits and build around it? Maybe design Toverland's next thrill machine?

I do. Here are a some renders I did as a way to get familiar with Mental Ray earlier this year. Just having fun between work projects. Part of the reason I do so much in RCT3, is that it's a way to keep all the same research/detailing skills sharp.

Anyway, back on topic, Man, I still dig your MF trains. Those just great!

As Hyyyper already said, i have my own company who also provides these 3d models and works on new concepts for themeparks

Well, it is possible to put these models into NL, the thing is, these models are pretty high-poly, the framerate of NL would drop drasticly

Maybe design Toverland's next thrill machine?

Maybe i'm already doing that

Very good, but you need to fix the bars on the "fence thingy" so that they look like one piece instead of a bunch of bars, it's a real eyesore to me.

Uh, with the exception of the top and bottom being a little bit too spaced out, they look pretty close to the real thing to me.

I could really use some of your help in using 3DS Max. I'm a 3d modeling /animation class at school where we use this. Now my project is not anything related to roller coasters, but here's some roller coaster track I created in about 5 minutes.
