Coasters 4 ever
Last night, my mom booked our vacation! I'm so excited! But the reason I posted this thread, is because even though we have been to each park 6 or 7 times, maybe there are things we didn't know about. I know that many of you have been there way more times. So, I will now ask the questions: Is Todd English's Bluezoo a good restaurant? Is Le Cellier a good restaurant? Anything about Hulk since I'm always too scared to ride it. But this time, I told my dad to force me on if I don't want to ride. Also rate this ride however you want (on a scale of 1-10, F-A+, etc.). Anything interesting that I might not know. Thanks in advance!
CoasterFanatic
The Hulk is top-notch. It has many elements that make a coaster great: - It interacts well with it's surroundings (at least the first half) - Unique features (uphill launch) - Unique layout. There is no other B&M with the same layout - Good Forces (Unlike most of the newer B&Ms it has some good G-forces) and ... any B&M that has a second vertical loop always kicks ass. coasters 4 me
The Hulk is probably one of the best coasters in Orlando. For the reasons: -It is ETREMELY smooth. -The launch is good. (It got me by surprise) -The theming through out the queue is brilliant. -Great Forces. -Great Inversions and Speed. When I rode it, I was 11 and i had to go on it by myself because my mom is scared of heights and my dad gets sick easily. So I have them benefit of the single rider queue. Lucky Me! Meteornotes
Blue Zoo is an EXCELLENT restaurant. It's my second favorite at WDW, behind California Grill... dt
Not For Sale
Personally, I didn't like Hulk the last time I was at IOA. I enjoyed it the first time I was there, but the last time (in July) it was very bumpy. IT may have been having a "bad day" or something, but it wasn't pleasent. There was plenty of ear bleeding moments.
shepp
IMO, the Hulk is not a scary coaster. For one thing, the indoor launch means there's no looking-down-from-the-lift-hill jitters, and the first part of the ride is just totally exhilarating. I rode last October and didn't get any headbanging, so I don't know what's up with that. I was in the front row, though...
Nemmy
Hulk is only intense the first ride, because you don't know what's happening. Everyone makes a lot of hype about how intense the ride is. And it might be intense if you ride from the back with your hands up, it won't be intense besides that. After your first ride, it just becomes dangerously fun. Hint: ride in the front for the funnest coaster ride ever. Also: from the front, you WILL be shoulderbanged (headbanged for you) - BUT IT DOES NOT HURT! Go on Viper at SFMM or Manhattan Express, and then compare the headbanging to Hulk. You know you're being banged, but you don't feel it because of B&M's comfy restraints. Just keep your head back during the launch, and to be safe, don't put your hands up until after the barrel roll (now I keep them up for the launch, but I didn't the first few times). Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the 7 inversions, 40 MPH drop, and everything else. P.S.: Check out the drop after the trim brakes...that has a shitload of airtime from the back. maliboomer
BlueZoo is definatley more adult oriented. There is no childrens menu and if you don't like fish, theres not a whole much more. Unless you're staying at the Swan or Dolphin, it might not be worth your time, I'm not saying it sucks though, it just might not be a familys cup of tea. AllisonY2K
I have heard good things about Le Cellier. I've never dined there myself because it's out of my budget range, but friends who have raved about it. Hulk is pretty good..I like Dueling Dragons better because the queue theming didn't give me a headache. I will agree with a few others that it is a smooth ride. I always watch the ride a few times while in the queue so I knew what to expect, and part way up the lift hill when the sound effects really kicked in, I knew to expect the launch shortly. Love the launched lifthill. Overall, despite my headache gripes with the queue theming, I give it an A-.
