asr Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Its an Intamin Accelerator or a Maverick style ride. Strange that there adding something like that when they already have Pedal to the Metal.
doublex98 Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 god dang man, I LOVE THIS PARK! youve put so much work into it! I love it, keep up the amazing work.
knottslover77 Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I can't wait, you are the best at RCT 3 on this site. --Jay
coasterdude5 Posted July 3, 2007 Author Posted July 3, 2007 Update Year 2 Announcement HEARTBREAKER MEMPHIS - A new rollercoaster will be added to Rock n' Soul Memphis' lineup next year. Heartbreaker will launch riders at speeds of up to 65 mph before thrusting them up two vertical (one spiraling) 185 foot towers. The ride will be located near the front of the park, so guests entering will get a great view of what they're really getting themselves through. The park officially opens full-term this year, operating from 10 a.m. to midnight daily. This is gonna be awesome. The spiraled spike looks awesome. I can't wait to ride this. This is the new view as you enter the park. The ride is incredible, especially the launch. The launch puts Pedal to the Metal in its place. Haha! The spiraled spike offers some different forces from the other coasters at the park. You're left dangling over the water! I knew that looked like an entrance... Work is still being done on it. Welcome home, Heartbreaker! More soon.
Steffen_Dk Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 Funny name for a coaster But I like it anyway.. Great park and can't wait to see more...
coasterdude5 Posted July 3, 2007 Author Posted July 3, 2007 ^ It's named after the Heartbreak Hotel in Memphis.
Airtime&Gravity Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 This park looks incredible, and the amount of detail you are putting into it is simply amazing. While still a "small" park, it has a ride lineup of a major park, and more amazing rides are being added. Heart Breaker is one of the best impulse coasters I've seen built in RCT3 or 2, and I'm interested in seeing what will be added next.
Kingbooba Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 It is a small park, but it's great! Heartbreaker looks like it'd be my favorite coaster there. You haven't told us how popular Zippin' Pippin' is.
coasterdude5 Posted July 4, 2007 Author Posted July 4, 2007 Update Year 2 THE MIGHTY MISSISSIPPIMEMPHIS - Rock n' Soul Memphis is also debuting a soaking water ride this year along with the new multi-million dollar Heartbreaker coaster. Mighty Mississippi will be one of the worlds longest white-water raft rides that will act as somewhat as a "thrill tour", educating riders about the history of the Mississippi river as well as drenching them along the five minute journey. The ride is the first white-water raft ride to feature onride audio, narrating the different scenes the ride will venture through. The ride is expected to open next week. Rock n' Soul is now open daily. Whoa, this ride really is long. It's a well-landscaped ride... The park needed a "drencher" attraction. This could be senseless talk, but I heard Pedal to the Metal will be leaving us after this year. Only two years at the park!?! This is really the only good shot of Zippin Pippin you can get! Heartbreaker's line has been exeptionally long lately. That never gets old. The ride thinks it can hide in the trees... Twisted goodness... More soon.
thefitness Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I like this park a lot! I think the Mighty Mississippi would look better if you smoothed out the land around it. HeartBreaker fits in perfectly, I really like it.
Kingbooba Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I love Heart Breaker. Best. Coaster. Ever. MM is huge! 5 minutes? Geez.
Vffreak07 Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 This is so amazing. This is by far one of the best RCT3 parks I have seen. The scenery, the detail, the rides. Everything is awesome! Great job! Can we get a POV from MM?
coasterdude5 Posted July 4, 2007 Author Posted July 4, 2007 ^ I try to stay away from POV's because (a) it takes too long to record a video, and (b) I've gotta give people a reason to download the park.
Kingbooba Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I would download tons of RCT3 parks, but the computer always locks up right when it's about to finish loading the park.
Reon Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 ^ I try to stay away from POV's because (a) it takes too long to record a video, and (b) I've gotta give people a reason to download the park. I'd love to DL it, but I have a mac. Its hard to convert all the custom scenary, and they havent released Wild yet.
mike541x Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 how you to do undegrund costers? You need the Wild Or Soaked Expantion pack.
coasterdude5 Posted July 5, 2007 Author Posted July 5, 2007 Update Year 2 Well, it's been confirmed by a park rep, Pedal to the Metal is not returning next year. It's been so heavily criticized by the crowds, they're not even going to recognize that it's closing, it'll just disappear off the map. Creepy. The park rep cited low capacity and poor reliabilty as the main reasons for the parks coming closure. At least this baby aint closing! I got some new shots of Zippin Pippin... The line was shorter than usual today. What a shot... Roundabout sorta draws attention to itself at night... Heartbreaker always manages to squeeze itself into a shot... Alright guys, it's fast enough already. This queue couldn't have been placed in a better spot. More soon.
knottslover77 Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Looks Fantastic I can't what for a update. --Jay
