Goliath513 Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I am looking for information on one of the techno songs played in X's station. I was just there last month and the loop that they play has 4 songs in it. I know 3 of them. 1. Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix) by New Order [approx. 10:10] 2. She's My Pusher by The Crystal Method [approx. 5:41] 3. Vapor Trail by The Crystal Method [approx 6:31] 4. *Unknown* [not as long] ***[repeats]*** "Confusion" by New Order is often confused with "Bloodrave" by The Crystal Method. Some of you have noted that "Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix)" sounds a lot like "Phatt Bass" and "Blade" by Warp Brothers. They used "Confusion" to be remixed into these songs for the Blade movie theme. The tracks listed above are in the order as they are played in X's station. They are mixed into a single track with crossfades between songs so it is not that they change the order around or anything. All I am asking is that someone please help me find the name of the last song. It is not as long as either of the songs above. The song has a breakbeat sound to it and no vocals" If you want to know what any of these songs sound like to get an idea of what I'm talking about, just ask and I will provide you with links and/or sound samples of similar songs or the ones I already know. I am really into techno/electronic music right now so that is why I would like to find out what that song is. Thanks to anyone who can provide some helpful information.
Louise Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I don't know how much this helps, but having done a bit of searching I found this... http://americacoasters.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13571&sid=0ec569bb48f5df2374da23a9871c066a It doesn't seem like they manage to come to any conclusion on the fourth song, but they mention a couple that you haven't that seem to be shot down by som and agreed with by others so... Maybe look up some of the titles mentioned there and have a listen?
Goliath513 Posted May 22, 2007 Author Posted May 22, 2007 Thanks for the help, but I already know the songs mentioned in there. Nobody knows the fourth song, I swear. These videos can give you a reminder of what song I'm talking about.
XII Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 All I know is that the name is El Nino. I have no idea where to find it or who sings it, but I know the name.
Goliath513 Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 El Nino is by Angelli & Nelson and that song was used in the promotional video for X. Some have said this song is by Paul Oakenfold but I have found no song called El Nino by Oakenfold. I looked it up and it sounds nothing like the one played in the station. The song sounds sort of like Adagio For Strings by Tiesto. I found several electronica/dance related forums to use for the song identification. I have an account over at www.di.fm that has a whole section dedicated to music identification as well as www.unknowntrack.com. I will give up on asking for information on this song here since nobody seems to know it, so I will just ask in forums for questions like this. Thanks -Sam
Goliath513 Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 ^ You have got to be kidding me. That sounds nothing like the song played in X's station. First off the one played in X is techno/house, not 80's rock. Second, have ever actually been on X and heard the song that I'm talking about?
Mr.Six Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 ^ Wes never kids around...whatever he says is always true. Maybe you just aren't listening hard enough. _six
Wes Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Oh my mistake, I thought you were talking about the song in Riddler's station. The song is "Sister Christian" by Night Ranger.
mcjaco Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 ^ No, you're thinking of the music in Ninja's queue. I'm positive it's Safety Dance.
OldJJman Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Isn't it the techno version of "Yackety Sax" that they used to play on the Benny Hill show??
Goliath513 Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 Oh my mistake, I thought you were talking about the song in Riddler's station. The song played in Riddler's station is "Ecuador (Bruce Wayne Mix)" by Sash
Guy T. Koepp Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 I would swear it was a "Built this City" by Jefferson Starship remix. Cause the Jefferson Starship band name adds to the whole "Area 51" themeing they got going on there.
cfc Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 ^Nah--they play that while your waiting for Flight of Fear at KD, along with the theme from Green Acres.
Wes Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Oh my mistake, I thought you were talking about the song in Riddler's station. The song played in Riddler's station is "Ecuador (Bruce Wayne Mix)" by Sash No, it's a loop of "The Final Countdown" and "All She Wants To Do Is Dance" by Don Henley.
Jew Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 It's definitely Popozao. I should know...I called the entertainment office back when I still worked there to find out.
Goliath513 Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 ^^ Ok, I'm not going to argue with you about Riddler's music because I'm looking for the last song played in X's station. First off, the song I'm looking for information on is a techno song, not a rock, rap, or jazz song. Give these videos another listen to hear what I mean (yes I know I posted these videos earlier).
Wes Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Hmmm....sounds to me like it could be "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" by Wham!
rbpia Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 It's Tubthumping "Super special just for X" remix by Chumbawumba. Featuring all new lyrics: "I get broke down and I get fixed again. Shapiro can't keep me down. I get broke down, ahh screw it I'll be open again in 9 months." Ron "No one knows what it is, Wes will be locking this in 3,2,1" Patton
Goliath513 Posted June 6, 2007 Author Posted June 6, 2007 Ok, whatever, just a note, this song has no vocals in it either. If any of you are serious about any information for that song, then just post it. Ohterwise, I have better things to do with my time then to get random songs that sound nothing like it.
Wes Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 No vocals? Maybe it's "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" by Bonnie Tyler.
