^Go to Geauga Lake. Their SLC Thunderhawk is over a lake, well the edge of it, but it's all above water.

Anyways, that seemed really smooth! The people sounded like they liked it, lets check back in 5 or so years and take another POV and hear what they sound like!

I agree, but I thought it was going to be longer than that. I have built longer coasters on RCT. But overall looked like a pretty cool ride.

It's an SLC. Were you expecting it to be something else? You do know what an SLC is right?

I don't think this was a good idea on Blackpool's part. All of the coasters at Blackpool are either one-of-a-kind, or a dieing breed. Infusion is the 2nd biggest, full-sized cookie-cutter in the world. If this turns into a rough piece of sh1t like all of the other SLCs, Blackpool will regret it.

Regardless, Infusion happenss to be the best looking "cookie-cutter" SLC, and it seems like a good ride......for now.

^ Right, but I think as Robb said, the general public will and most likely already have gone crazy over the attraction, just because it is different from the lineup at the park.

I see why they did it, but I'm not sure I would've done it if I were in their shoes.

^ I'm agreeing with you.

Coasterdude brings up a good point. Infusion is a polar opposite of anything the park already has. Also, SLCs haven't spread themselves quite as thick is Europe as they have in America. Also (again), America doesn't have any of those custom SLCs like Europe does. Kumali and Odyssey make up a good sized chunk of the SLC population out there don't they?

Has anyone else here checked out www.rideinfusion.com recently. The stats are way overhyped (but that is to be expected), but the rider comments are hilarious.

I THINK INFUSION TOPS ANY OTHER RIDES IN THE UK! BLACKPOOL IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST PARK IN BRITAIN- MUCH BETTER THAN ALTON TOWERS...I THOUGHT INFUSION WAS EXCITING AND THE QUEUES DIDNT TAKE LONG! BEST BRITISH RIDE EVER! I THINK THE PLEASURE BEACH IS BETTER THAN THEME PARKS IN AMERICA! INFUSION IS WITHOUT A DOUBT BETTER THAN NEMESIS..NEMESIS IS A BABY COMPARED TO THIS! I LOVE INFUSION AND I LOVE THE PLEASURE BEACH!! BEST PARK IN BRITAIN WOOP WOOOP!

People enjoy suspended rides, but when a new one gets built the whole theme park world comes to a holt. So Nemesis is the king of all suspended roller coasters in britian. Its well designed and brilliant to ride easily 4 stars ( ****) So now that INFUSION Is built it should easily top it. Well honestly it does. Its brilliant 5 out of 5 (*****) Its worth the trip. Lewis

Better than Nemesis? Yeah right!

Best ride at BPB? I doubt it. Give me Nash over an SLC any day.

Probably not.

But it's doing exactly what Blackpool put it in there to do so far.

Ummmm... Hate to break it to them, but Nemesis will never be topped in England. Ever. Nope. No chance. End of. Period. You get the point.

Vekoma vs. B&M... B&M are really going to lose, aren't they?

I also understood there would be 'interactive' water fountains'... All i saw were about 3 spurting water about 7 ft away from the ride... Interactive my ass!

^What are you talking about?

That's just people's opinions. And some people are gonna disagree with yours, so get over that. It's also not a competition between manufacturers here, I don't understand your logic.

Also, the interactive fountains are just marketing spin. It's a word that's mostly used to describe getting close to something. My desk is probably more interactive than the fountains are, but I'd save your judgement till you actually go on it.

This is your classic example of a member of the GP who thinks they know it all just because they can use the term "suspended coaster". They have a memory span of about 5 minutes when it comes to rides and immediately crown the last coaster they rode with the title of Best Ride Ever. There are quite a few people at my school like that - it really annoys me.

I mean "every time a suspended coaster is built, the themepark world comes to a halt" ? Yes, maybe back in 1992

Man....

Their coaster terminology is wharped!

Every B&M is better than every Vekoma. The very berst Vekoma isn't as good as the worst B&M. How could they say that Infusion is better? It sounds to me, like if Blackpool were to open an indoor Boomerang(or of the likes), the European would sh1t themselves and call it the best ride ever. Phooey!

Dude...what the HELL are you talking about!?!

Vekoma likes to take you to your "limits" per-say. Deja Vu, Boomerang, Face Offs etc. I Happen to enjoy Vekoma rides...

TRUE..they're not the "smoothest" rides in the world..

But hey, when you're thrown backwards through a loop and a cobra roll, you expect that to be smooth!!!

B&M is very good, yes. BUT..B&M Doesn't really take you backwards through Cobra rolls...or have you sit face to face like Vekoma does.

I like to look at it as though Vekoma really takes you to your outer most limits. On the other hand, B&M is known for their fast, speedy, airtime, inversion after inversion coasters.

Blackpool's addition of Infusion, IMO, is a fantastic idea! I believe you also noted that in 5 years the ride will turn to crap? Possibly..but that's due to low upkeep costs.

BPPB does a FANTASTIC job at keeping their park up to speed, along with all their rides and attractions...so cut them some slack!!

^&^^It's the current "Flavor of the Month," folks, because it's "new" (at least to BPPB--"From Southport to Blackpool with Love"). Time will tell.

The only people qualified to make such sweeping statements as that at the start of your last paragraph are those who have ridden EVERY B&M and EVERY Vekoma in the world. And to be fair, to make a truly objective comparion they would have to have ridden them all within, let's say at most, a year. Generalisations like that make no sense.

It doesn't surprise me, having seen some of the media coverage, to read the kind of comments Will posted on the last page. A lot of the GP *do* have seriously short-term memories. They rode Nemesis last year, they loved it. They rode Infusion this year, and think it's better than what they remember Nemesis to be. Of course, in their opinion, maybe it IS better than Nemesis, which is fine, but I think if most people could ride them one after the other Nemesis would likely win out.

I'll reserve judgement until I ride it next month, but even if I like it, I'm not sure I like it being there, if that makes sense. Many here know I'm not exactly a Blackpool fan, but I do recognise the charm of the park in a fairly major way, and as somebody commented earlier, all the other coasters have some unique or historical value to them. This just seems... Odd. It doesn't fit in at all, in my view. But then, I guess the same could've been said for Big One when that was put in, so... I'll get used to it.
