Coasters 4 ever Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 No it isn't. That's the Hulk. Hulk is 0-40 in 2 seconds, not 1.5. I read that ROTM goes 0-40 in 1.5 in an article about ROTM's engineering.
socalMAN123 Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 - She loves: Test Track, Dinosaur, Indy at DL, Space Mountain (although she thinks it's a bit dark) Test Track-haven't gone on it Dinosaur-same thing as Indy Indy-Rocks hard Space Mountain-awesome coaster It is very true I havent had the chance to go on it, but, Elissa's mom, go ride it! It shouldn't be that bad! I saw the POV of the USH version, which I heard sucks, but it still doesn't look that scary. ---Brent 8)
coasterdude5 Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 What's so different about the USH version? Is it worse? Just wondering.
BarryH Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 The differences between CA's Mummy and FL's Mummy are (off the top of my head)... - different storyline - CA's launch is flat and FL's launch is angled - No fake unload in CA's Mummy - No real fire in CA's Mummy - No backwards roller coaster section in FL's (unless you could the 10 feet of track after the scarab section) - No trick track in CA's version (or that I could feel) - CA ride ops don't play up Imhotep's minions as FL's - FL's is way cooler I rode both CA's and FL's version of the Mummy. I only had a desire to ride CA's Mummy once. I like to ride FL's version over and over again!
Not For Sale Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 I'm positive that the Orlando version has a fake unload. Also, I think that there's real fire in Orlando. I'm not sure about that though.
coaster1 Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 I enjoyed CA's version, but really want to get on FL's .. my 7 yr old sister is estaci about getting to ride it in less than 3 weeks .. so yeah .. she's 7 and HATES Space Mountain and anything bigger than Gadget's Go-Coaster at DL.
spike Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 Not sure what to say. I rode it and it scared the crap out of me! However it is smooth and they say the biggest drop is only 25'. It scared the crap out of me, but I'm really glad I rode it and was totaly amazed at how good it really was. When I got off it i sat down , had a cigarette, and was right back on it. I'll ride it anytime . It was sooooooo fun!
Coasters 4 ever Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 ^That reminds me of the time my brother Mike went on that ride... He is 29(or 28, I'm not sure), and was freaking out during the launch! That was so funny! This is something like how it went: "Not even the Med-Jai can save you now"... and all that stuff Imhotep says, then we start going up the hill and "YOUR SOULS ARE MINE!" and anybody in the car could hear him yelling and screaming!
CoasterGrey Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 Here goes....my best friend is in her mid-50's - she is deathly afraid of steep drops, but she loves Lightnin' Racer and Space Mt. She LOVES Mummy!!! She said that will all the stuff going on she doesn't even realize she's on a roller coaster. Hope that helps!
JT3000 Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 Hulk is 0-40 in 2 seconds, not 1.5. I read that ROTM goes 0-40 in 1.5 in an article about ROTM's engineering. Well, the article was wrong.
