Year 37

Well, the Year 37 season is quickly coming to an end.

It's great to be back after my long time away.

The park seems to really be turning around with the addition of Solar Flare.

Next year's announcement should be made any day now, however, I have been told it won't be a ride of any sort.

There are several insiders that suggest Tidal Wave is on the "deadly list" to be removed.

I want to think that they wouldn't remove the 32 year old ride...

But it is showing its age.

In other news, Solar Flare received new, longer trains!

They're darker with some blue in there somewhere.

It'll definitely help the capacity issue.

But I also heard today that Oronga might possibly be put on the "deadly list". Apparently its low ridership isn't pleasing the execs.

More soon.

Finaly! Remove this not Tidle Wave!

When will the quiz end?

Posted

I really hope Tidal Wave stays, it is the best coaster in the park. I'm somewhat more indifferent to Oronga leaving though, I never liked it much.

Some additions I would like for the park would be a bigger ferris wheel, and a drop tower (cough300foots&sfourtowercomboridecough).

Year 38 Announcement

HERSHEY HAWAII -

HAWAII - Hawaii's premier family resort is announcing two major additions to their lineup of 5-star attractions for you and your family to enjoy.

RAINFOREST CAFE

Deep witin the "aquatic jungle" lies one of the best spots in the park to grab a full-course meal. With routine rainstorms and a selection of animals, Rainforest Cafe is known in the industry for providing memorable experiences.

"We knew we had to have one in the park," said a park rep,"it was the perfect fit."

The restaurant will be located towards the back of the park and will replace the Marketplace Food Court.

VOLCANIC EXPANSION

This year The Volcanic at Hershey Hawaii will add additional rooms, increasing the capacity by 50%.

"This is our best source of income," said PR manager Tim Brown,"we definitely want to see it expand."

The hotel rooms being added vary in size and will be located near the back and will surround a new waterfall falling down the side of the hotel.

The park opens for its 38th season soon.

This is gonna be a great replacement for the old worn out Marketplace.

More soon.

Year 38

The Marketplace is coming down!

Since Sulfur is gone, there was no need for it's flat roof.

I'm told it will be built down into the ground.

Solar Flare is a huge hit with the guests.

Most place it at the top of their favorites list.

The ride looks great at night.

The area around the ride is pretty bright and inviting.

Work kept me away from the park for a few weeks but I came back today to find alot of progress.

Rainforest Cafe's interior is complete, they're finishing exterior work, though.

The inside is open yet dark and has an awesome atmosphere.

The entrance is nearing completion.

The entrance is almost complete.

More soon.

___________________________________________

Three people answered all of the questions correctly.

Here are the answers:

1.) If HHE was in real time, what year would Year 37 be taking place in?

2034

I stated that while HHE was celebrating its 10th anniversary, Hersheypark was celebrating its 100th. That would have meant that HHE opened in 1997.

2.) What was the name of the original attraction that stood where the second half of Tidal Wave stands today.

Dolphina

The second half of Tidal Wave would be when the ride crosses over the path. The dolphin show was removed during the Year 3 season.

3.) What was the first coaster to ever be removed from HHE?

Viper

Both Viper and Riptide closed at the same time, but due to a major issue with Riptide, it was forced to stay intact while an investigation was conducted.

4.) How close has HHE ever come to actually closing?

Shopping Mall Saga

A new controlling board nearly bulldozed the entire park to make way for a mega shopping/entertainment disctrict. Herco quickly fired the board and allowed the park to continue operation.

5.) What year did Hershey Entertainment Company purchase the park?

Year 5

Hershey Entertainment Co. officially bought the park at the beginning of the Year 5 season.

6.) What was Hurtle de Zhambi a near-clone of?

Rock n' Rollercoaster / Xpress

7.) In what year did HHE receive the much-needed parking garage?

Year 6

8.) How much money was invested in the original park?

5 Million

Stated in the original press release.

9.) True/False - HHE has never had a drop tower.

False

Rock Drop was an intamin Gyro tower that opened with the park, it was removed to make way for the Kissing Tower.

10.) True/False - Hershey's Kissing Tower was the park's first observation tower.

False

An observation tower opened with the park but was removed when Hershey purchased the park.
