PhishyBrewer
Well... it's that time of year again. Time for the fam to head up to good old Chico, California and pay a visit to the Sierra Nevada Brewery and Taproom. Thanks for reading!!! Yeah... I wish I worked here. Gift shop packed as always. Just lay underneath, open your mouth and I'll crack one of these sweet babies open for you. Mmm... fermenters. That's about right. That's what I do most nights. Gavin still doesn't understand what daddy does at work all day. Yup... here are some more. Did mention they collect this stuff? Yeah... more Santa's. Damn... Jackie Green is sold out! This is The Big Room Stage. A lot of good shows come through here. Oh look! They added a video to the tour. More Santa's. Just the start of the Santa Clause collection. Gavin in front of the main Christmas tree at the brewery. I saved the stout for my desert though. Slowly started knocking them out. Harvest Ale was still available for tasting. I was in heaven!!! Me starting on my sampler. Karen enjoyed the soup and a tasty Pale Ale draft. Different recipe than what is found in the bottles. With great beer usually comes great food. The porter onion soup was superb. Very robust in flavor.
FlyerACE1
Thanks for sharing, Wally. Sounds like a great idea for a family gathering. Sierra Nevada looks sweet. I'll definitely have to visit when I finally make it to CA...whenever that might be.
Coaster Palooza
Thanks for posting. That sampler looks great. Man Wally, you go to some great places. I want to go to Sierra Nevada some day.
DerekRx
Ug, why does such a cool place have to be so far away from everything else in California. I'll get there someday, but until then I will experience Sierra Nevada from your perspective, Wally.
Rugged One
Nice pics Wally. We're hopefully going to make a go at getting there on next years Nor Cal trip. About how far north of you guys is it?
Scaparri
Ahh, I'm jealous now. You got me wishin' I had a pack of Sierra Nevada right now. Such good beer.
PhishyBrewer
Nice pics Wally. We're hopefully going to make a go at getting there on next years Nor Cal trip. About how far north of you guys is it? It's about an hour and a half from Sacramento. Head up north on I-5 to Hwy 99. It's really easy to find. You could drive up even further and hit up Mendocino Brewing and Anderson Brewing (Boonville).

Dude, this is Heath and Kim we're talking about. They'll hit Sierra Nevada, Mendocino, Anderson Valley, Hair of the Dog, and Widmer on the same day, then tackle Thrillville and Enchanted Forest before attempting to finish their night up at Pyramid! PhishyBrewer
^WOW! That sound like quite the hike. That's at least 10 hours of driving.
Bubba Z
Wally, you should be on the food network and Host $40 a day. You go to way more superior places then Rachel Ray and the food looks 10x better. Maybe you should just write a book about great beer and food in Nor-cal ? Coaster Palooza Man Wally, you go to some great places. I want to go to Sierra Nevada some day Agreed!
MrsPhishy
^ They'd probably have to rename it $75+ a day, then he could do it. It's good food, but it's not cheap.

Cool, I didn't realize that Anderson Valley was up that way as well. I think that will definitley have to be on the agenda now.
