Guy T. Koepp Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 ^Don't force me to sic Tor Johnson on you! Mmmmmmm? Let me see. Eat a rotting maggot infested corpse or eat at Ohanas. Pretty much the same to me.
coaster05 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Oh Guy you lose more cool points with every sentence about Ohana's. that was a wonderful meal. Rich "I think smelling your plastic Kim has rotted your brain" Bitner
robbalvey Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 There certainly seems to be a love/hate thing with O'hanas. While I can certainly respect those who don't like it and choose to eat someplace else, I only ask the same respect of those in return. I do agree that Ohana's might not be the best restaurant at the Disney Resort, and even might not be the best meal in the world, but all I know is that every visit I've had, I've come away satisfied not only in my meal but in the entire experience. Some really great memories and good times have been had there. So those who like it, GREAT! Those who don't, more meat for the rest of us! --Robb
Erik Johnson Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I think the main reason why Guy does not like Ohana's very much was that he was almost murdered by one those super hot towels they give you to clean your hands with. He is too scared to go face his enemy. Mr. Towel tried to kill Guy last year at Ohana's. Here is the proof.
USRoadTripper Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I am definitely in the "Love It!" column! I loved the little wonton thingies they used to have, so I do miss those, but everything else makes up for it! I don't even eat the beef, pork or sausage, and still have to practically be rolled out of there any time I eat there! I did notice that the service was lacking quite a bit when we were all there in March, and from what I hear, the same seemed to have happened this time too. I've only ever gotten exceptional service there when I was in a smaller group, so it does make me wonder why larger groups don't get the same level of service. Good service or bad, I'll still happily stuff myself there -Julie
Meteornotes Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 ^I'm convinced that large groups get craptacular service because the tip is included in the bill. Both of my visits there saw some really bad service. I have not been impressed... dt
cfc Posted November 1, 2006 Author Posted November 1, 2006 Tor say what Robb say! Eat where what like to eat! No like 'Hana's OK, too. Less people, mean more turkey for Tor! Maybe too much turkey for Tor.
MonkeyPants Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Very fun TR! Hilarious commentary! Tell Eric I'm sorry he had to suffer for Chuck's trangressions!
Guy T. He is too scared to go face his enemy. I will have my revenge upon that evil towel! In my defense, I did nothing to provoke it. I customarily poke everything with a fork that is placed in front of me during mealtime. I honestly thought it was a steaming egg roll, or an albino turd. One can be easily confused when in a food coma.
cfc Posted November 1, 2006 Author Posted November 1, 2006 ^"Albino Turd" would be a great name for a rock band, Guy. Julie, they did serve some fried wontons with three kinds of dipping sauce (pretty good, too). Were these the wontons you were referring to, or perhaps some kind of stuffed, fried 'ton?

They are playing the 2nd stage at Ozzfest next summer. By the way, if I hadn't mentioned it before. (I know I did though) I love this TR! One of the best evah!
cfc Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 Yeah, you did Guy--thanks, again. And don't miss Albino Turd's newest, almost near hit, "A Big Steaming Pile of Your Love!"
live2tell75 Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Chuck your trip report was kick A$$!! It was a lot of fun hanging out, we'll have to do it again sometime!
cfc Posted November 3, 2006 Author Posted November 3, 2006 ^Most definitely, Eric--lemme know when you decide to come north and check out Griffon. As for me, I'm pretty much hooked on Halloween in Florida now, so I think I'll be back next year.
