eskater132 Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 What is the deal, did Intamin change their name to intaride? I saw it on Maverick's website...
robbalvey Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Well, if you go to Intamin's website: http://www.ridetrade.com/ I kind of think IntaRide is some convergence of Intamin and Ride Trade. --Robb "Seems they have several different names for the company!" Alvey
Canobie Fan Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Yeah. Even at Intamins IAAPA booth it said "Intaride"
eskater132 Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 I googled IntaRide and some site said it is the US Intamin manufacturer.
Astat Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Intamin isn't really just one company in Switzerland that builds everything under the Intamin name anymore, for several years it's actually been made up of several subdivisions. IntaRide is their US division that builds rides. It's been around for a while but up until now all the rides they built just carried the standard Intamin AG name.
willski Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Yeah, IntaRide, LLC. is Intamin/Ride Trade's North American ride broker/constructor. They handle everything in North America to make it easier in terms of manufacturing and transport.
robinschroder Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I read recently that Intamin is an abbreviation of INTernational AMusement INstallations - which, if correct and true, I hadn't realised!
Spideyfreak Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Haha....And the office is literally around the corner from my house....

JeffBKane Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I read recently that Intamin is an abbreviation of INTernational AMusement INstallations - which, if correct and true, I hadn't realised! It is true... as quoted here: http://www.csus.edu/indiv/s/shawg/articles/facilities/disneyland_timeline.html (They built the Revolution at Magic Mountain) Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intamin_AG JeffBKane
Edwardo Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Yeah, IntaRide is just the American offices handling they american business.
