NOTE: Python Video has been uploaded in the Professional Amateur Videographer Forum! Enjoy!

This was my first trip in the 2006 season to Busch Gardens Tampa, err, Tamprica. After hearing recent rumors and proof that Python may no longer be with us come 2007, I have shot some video and hope to make a decent music video, hopefully by this weekend if time permits.

So, I started the day off getting raped in the butt with the ticket prices. Although, I will take advantage of the Florida Two-fer deal and go for another trip come Christmastime. Crowds weren't as bad as I expected in the morning and so, I ventured towards SheiKra for first ride of the day.

Apparently, SheiKra now has one of those newfangled "Your ride on DVD" things that are popping up everywhere now. So, I got a second row seat and I only waited about say, 5 minutes. I still love the ejector air this thing gives on the second drop and the "Yay-time" on the Immelman. 8.5/10

Following SheiKra, I went towards Congo and decided to take some pictures of the Congo area since, well, it might become a kids area. Also, shooting a crapton of videos of Python and realising, damn the ops are almost as slow as the Gwazi ops when it comes to dispatching trains. I had to wait, literally, 5 minutes for a train to go around.

After shooting video for like, a good half hour, I finally did my first of two farewell rides on this Arrow death machine, err... Corkscrew. First ride, second row, only a 5 minute wait. The ride wasn't as bad as I remembered, but still the extremely short ride its been known as.

Following Python, there was a ride on Kumba, and surprisingly a walk-on. Looking at the freshly repainted Kumba, I got a third row seat and had one of the best rides on that thing, ever. I finally touched the ground on the helix and blades of grass don't hurt that much while going 50 mph. Oh yeah, the mister of doom wasn't running... but Kumba still kicked ass, 9/10.

After riding Kumba-ya-teh lord of B&M's, I took a ride on ye olde Schwarzkopf, Scorpion. Nothing new, but still delivered a kickin rad ride, 8.5/10.

Then came the must ride of the park, Montu. Yes, Monty is still as popular as ever and this ride had a 20 minute wait. Partly because of a B&M Breakdown or because somebody had to pull off their safety belt on the lift. Montu still ran mediocrly today, trims on and everything. 8/10

After riding Montu, I decided to watch the "new" 4-D movie that replaced Lame Lighthouse, Pirates 4-D. Lets just say, this film was a LOT better than "Haunted" Lighthouse ever was. It had Lesile Nielsen, Eric Idle, and the ending had Rodney Dangerfield FTW. Oh, and the plot was better, nothing like a little kid seeking revenge on men. Oh, the movie was Ninja-friendly... 8/10.

After seeing Pirates 4-D; How to kick a Pirate's ass, I rode Python and did a final farewell ride. Back row where the ejector air is on the first drop. The ride, not bad, but I felt like Python has seen better days in both the GP POV and my POV. However, I seriously hope this ride finds a new home somewhere in South America, like most of these things. FINAL PYTHON RIDE: 7/10.

After that, the park just got busier and the heat was kicking my ass as usual, so I left. Overall, todays visit was pleasant, I just wish the ops were more efficient. Also, it seems like ALL of the Python ops are unenthusiastic, then again, its not that much of a challenge to take on the Python these days.

I'll end this trip with a bad shot of Python. RIP Arrow Death Machine, 1977-20X6!

Oh, BTW, stick around for a Python video.

Lets star this labor day photo TR with Labor! Apparently, Busch wants you to 1UP them and build a zoo (or Pave SFMM, whichever one).

Nice PTR Carl, hopefully Python wont be going anywhere anytime soon, but if it does then those better be some pretty impressive monkey's! I mean like extreme poo throwing monkey's!!

If it is taken down it will most likely be made into a new kiddie zone but since it went from "Future development" to Python back on the map as said to me by Erik Johnson. I'd think its good to stay for now.

Or maybe Busch put out a wrong kind of map outside the park entry...

Seems probable or logical, but I think in the near future, Python is going to be gizzone...

Wow--you can get your picture on Cheetah Chase? Now there's something they never offered when it was the Wild Maus in Williamsburg.

Actually, Python has been renamed Griffon and is being moved to Williamsburg.

I'm kidding. Don't hurt me, please.
