Carnage Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 So Nicole wanted to head out to PCW one last time this season, so we decided to go this past saturday. Worked out well as some freinds of mine wanted to go as well. If we can't go to the UK DVD party, we'll just have to have our own party. Nicole covers most of the day in her TR: Link I didn't take as many pics, but some fill in some gaps. We had decided to meet at the front of the park at 10am, but both of us were delayed by traffic. In my case I decided to take the 407 express toll route. Unoforunatly they had it down to 1 lane on a SATURDAY for no reason. Adding lanes for my convenience my ass. When it takes 40 minutes to get 5 km's that's not express anymore. After a slight delay we got into the park at about 11am, where we met up with some of my freinds, and one freak of nature. (if you read Nicole's TR you'll know all about that). Ended up being a really good day, lines weren't nearly as bad as I was fearing on a saturday. I lent my camera to Nicole and look what happens. Yay, we can cross. Along with the 200 hundred other pissed off people. The guy in black crossed the bridge too soon. The girafe guy harrassed him as he crossed. A fist fight almost broke out.(not kidding) In Canada we drug monkeys to force them into entertaining children. I really don't know what to say. Ahh a flaming parade is blocking us from Wild Beast. These 2 cops try in vain to keep people from crossing the bridge. We just want to ride Wild Beast. She complained afterwards that she didn't know she was going to get that wet. Wearing white was also a bad idea. Hidden in the wall of water is the beast. Children run in fear of her. Vortex was running great as usual. I'd consider this the only ride worthy of being PCWs signature ride. True to Nicole's word she took the bad bounce and got drenched. Signature shot of Psyclone. I had read a rumour awhile back that Orbiter had re-opened. I was glad to find that rumour to be true.Might not be the most intense ride, but I'm glad to see it stay. Headed to Top Gun first. No way am I waiting 2 hours for an SLC. Finally at the park. The guy with the rubber glove was suprisingly gentle. Why are those 3 lanes closed?!? I want my money back.
niiicolaaah Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 LOL... Paul.. Every time we go to a park together such odd things happen... Think about it... EVERY SINGLE TIME!
Carnage Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 lol no kidding. Something about bridges too. The millenium bridge had the marathon, and the PCW bridge had the messed up parade.
Golfie Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 LOL! I love the conversation going on... it's almost sad. The only people that posted were the ones on the trip Andrew "This thread is de-pathetic'ized!" C.
Shockwave Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Haha, awesome photos from both you and Nicole! (Except that Italian Job one.) I will pledge myself to visit that place before I'm 30 years young! I saw a fight break out between some drunk people on public transport yesterday coming home from Southport. I really can't wait to get my car back from the service garage!
DerekRx Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 LOL! And Nicole thinks I'm the only person who says she takes a simple shot and makes it blurry! At least she's cute! Nice follow up, though as much as I love my woman, I'd rather be in California than Canada (but Canaba, that's a different story!)
Carnage Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 Oh, also before leaving we headed into the gift shop to try and find some paramount merchandise. Unforunatly there was pretty much crap to buy. But Nicole did spot this shirt which I thought was too funny to pass up. If the resized version is too small to read I posted the full size picture: Here I said yes to each point.
niiicolaaah Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Best shirt ever... there are never any cool girl shirts.
Shockwave Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Paul I always wanted to know, what does "RV" stand for? I know that they're what folks on your side of the pond call "Motorhomes", but I never could figure out the acronym!
Shockwave Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Recreational Vehicle That one is also sexual! Recreational Vehicle. Honestly, that's just asking for innuendo!
Carnage Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 lol Hence the term, "If the van's a rocking, don't come a knocking".
Shockwave Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 lol Hence the term, "If the van's a rocking, don't come a knocking". LOL!! It all makes sense!
ParkTrips Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 That one is also sexual! Is that a Quagmire reference? Sweet avatar dude!! Wow that was WAAAYY off topic, ban me now. Ok I can post on-topic.. PCW sucks

niiicolaaah Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Joe just hates PCW because it doesn't have an Anton. Wow, I think I've made about 30 posts today.
ParkTrips Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 nah not just that, I've seen better car crashes than what Italian Job delivers - Joe, who likes finding excuses to use that smilie
Carnage Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 I always figure that PCW is a really fun park as long as you go in with realistic expectations. It is not by any means a top tier park. It's a well run average park. And as long as you accept that it's just a fun park with nothing standout you should have a fun time. But if you expect a Cedar Point,Alton Towers,Disney experience, then you're going to be severly let down. I think I'm getting deja vu. Don't we always have this discussion during PCW trip reports??
Shockwave Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Joe - So you'll be pretty happy if I crash my new Mini a few months then!
Xxhershey818xX Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Nice I really want to go there NOW! and stupid damn Nick parade!
thecoasterkid Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 What gift shop did you get that T-Shirt from? I honestly NEVER find any good coaster shirts at PCW, and I go there alot. Figures too that th e one day some other enthusiasts are at the park I decide to go south of the border (just to the US, not that freaky ass park) to Darien Lake. Had to visit it atleast once while it was still a Six Flags park. Glad to see that you still had an enjoyable day at the park. And you're right, as long as you realize that this is a park full of Arrow's, Vekoma's, horrible woodies, and a togo death machine, than you can still have a great time!
Meteornotes Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 nah not just that, I've seen better car crashes than what Italian Job delivers Bwahahahaha! Joe is awesome! And I totally agree. PCW is a nice looking park and all, but there's nothing there that makes me want to go back for another visit. dt
Carnage Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 What gift shop did you get that T-Shirt from? I honestly NEVER find any good coaster shirts at PCW, and I go there alot. The gift shop at the very front of the park by the bathrooms. Ryan:
