Jon Sabo Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Re-imagining Walt Disney Imagineering: Will the coming staff cuts actually save this division of the Walt Disney Company from itself? Jim Hill shares what he's heard about Bob Iger's plan to eliminate WDI's poisonous corporate culture as well as make this arm of the company much more fiscally responsible. Which involves cutting hundreds of jobs and changing Walt Disney Imagineering into a project-management-based organization According to those who are familiar with this theme park revival project, Disney's new CEO has agreed (in principle) to spend hundreds of million of dollars over the next decade in order to turn DCA into a worthy companion for Disneyland. Jew Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Jim Hill isn't exactly the most reliable source...so I'd just wait and see. Oh, and comparing Monsters to Ice Age is also laughable. Monsters, Inc. is 10000000000000x better than the Ice Age ride was.
SoCalDude Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Jim Hill isn't exactly the most reliable source.... Very true indeed.
Wes Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Plus, the dude has a terrible writing style. He breaks up one sentence into two incomplete sentences for no reason. ex: Disney officials are thinking of building a new ride. Which would be in Disneyland. Someone buy this dude a copy of Elements Of Style or something.
iZak Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Someone also needs to tell him that sometimes...Well, sometimes he's wrong. Case in point: http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hill/archive/2003/02/04/220.aspx
