I've gotten 2 in my life.

The first one I got was 6 years ago. We were up in vermont. We were in the middle of a blizzard, in the middle of nowhere. I was going 30. The speed limit was 30. My radar detector went off. A cop car came from the middle of nowhere. I slammed on my brakes. He turned his lights on and pulled me over. I quickly told my girlfriend to hide the radar detector. I was like "Oh my god!! Hide the radar detector!! We don't want him to see it" My girlfriend hid it in her overcoat. The cop walked up and said, "Okay, where'd you put the radar detector??" My girlfriend got nervous, took her coat off, and the radar detector fell out. The cop yelled for a while about how I should have been going slower since it was snowing. I asked him how he knew we had a radar detector. He said that people don't just slam on their brakes for no good reason. He gave us a ticket for 20 bucks. Yes, 20 bucks. I don't know why the ticket was so cheap, but whatever.

The second ticket I got was at the bottem of a hill. The speed limit was 30. I was going 41.

^I believe that in some States that Radar Detectors are illegal.

Besides, most Cops will look at your windshield for the "Suction Cups" that Radar Detectors leave behind, once you remove it.

If your using a Radar Detector the Cop assumes your attempting to break the law>>>Can you say Ticket.

They are illegal in Virginia. I had an uncle that was a PA State Trooper and had a few cases where he went to go pull people from Virginia over and they threw their radar detectors out the window (thinking it was illegal)... the best part is that he gave them a ticket for littering too

I got toasted for speeding between Darien Lake and Buffalo this summer (86 in a 65) but got out of it with a parking ticket thanks to family connections 8)

Scott, that's funny, were you up there skiing or something?

Been pulled over twice because the cops thought I was too young to be driving - they got a bit of a shock when saw the date of birth on my license. Once for speeding, but they gave a verbal warning and nothing more. But never any tickets. A clean license is always good.

There are parts of roads where I would never ever consider exceeding the speed limit, but some of the restrictions over are really poorly devised and unmonitored, and there are too many accident blackspots left unmarked. Fortunately, I have map which lists every speed camera in the UK, but not the accident blackspots.

Yeah I have been pulled over once for going 12 miles over the post speed limit (52 in a 40). This was a while ago, I had just bought my copy of Zelda 3:Link to the Past for my SNES and I was on my way home.

I was caught doing 95mph on my Harely while heading to work on I-80.

The nice thing about California, you can pay the fine, take a driving class, and it won't be put on your record. 8)

Or you can overpay by $5 or so, then when they mail you a refund check, don't cash it. The transaction is still open in the computer so it won't show up.

Once doing a little under 50 in a 35 zone. The 35 zone is retarded because it's on a main boulevard and the rest of the street is 45-50 limit. Just this ONE TINY stretch. Cops basically wait there and pull over people at random. They got to meet their quota somehow.

I've been pulled over for a dead brakelight and almost out of date reg tags. Interesting is that all these happened in my old crappy beat up Jetta in my very upscale super white hometown. Funny thing is that I have yet to be pulled over in my newer Corolla.
