DisWiz
Looks like I'll be heading up to Park City once it opens to see how it is. Although the cost does suck, but it'll be worth one ride hopefully.
Eunuch Provocateur
Are these mountain coasters considered a credit?
Racerbret
I'm heading up to Utah on Labor Day weekend for the Grand American race. I think I might have to try and take a trip to Park City while I'm there to ride that thing. Looks like a lot of fun.
Token Yankee Guy
Hey Craig, that really looks like a great day with some cool slides! I was on a alpine slide, but never on a mountain coaster! It really looks like fun. Is it really fast and do you can control the speed? Anyway, this is the good old Photo TR style from Craig, that I really missed! --Sören Yeah, it's just like an alpine slide with the controls, you push the levers all the way foward to go really fast, and I mean fast, then pull back to slow down or come to a stop. What's great with the brakes on these, is if you let you of the levers it will automatically brake, so that's good if you're coming up to someone that's virtually stopped real fast. Craig - how much is it to ride the alpine coaster & slide? They have different price plans depending on how long you want to try out the attractions... like an 1 1/2 to 3hrs to a full day. My mom and I went on a tuesday so they were having their tues & weds special of a unlimited universal pass for 35 bucks http://www.jiminypeak.com/sum/s_attractions.html There's the link with the prices. CKY Lunatic
So how do these things work? Are there up-stops or what? I think I'm going to Glenwood Caverns to ride their mountain coaster in 2 weeks.
shesaidboom
This place looks awesome, thanks for posting this There used to be awesome Alpine Slides at Blue Mountain [a few hours outside of Toronto] but at least ten years ago they cut the length of the track in half due to damage near the top, and then they closed them completely a few years later. I miss those. Hopefully I can make it to this place some time in the near future.
