wersigobra Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 This whole project is a disaster. I can't remember living in Boston and not seeing MAJOR road constructions, detuors, etc. The streets keep changing every day. The project STILL is not complete and it's probably one of the most expensive road construction projects ever. I'm still not sure why that is. They should spend money creating more parking. Then the traffic wouldn't be so bad because people would not have to double park and circle the block twenty times to find a parking space. I'm so angry that they contracted that corrupt concrete manufacturer, who also caused one of the other tunnels to leak! This is after less than a year after it opened.
thomas2 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 I saw this project on NGC. They really had bad luck
apollo210 Posted July 17, 2006 Author Posted July 17, 2006 It's in Massachusetts! What do you think! lol
Token Yankee Guy Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 ^ It was built by mass-holes, so you know it's a piece of junk. Last year when I visited my friend at his college, I had to take I-93 and take the zeppin bridge (i believe that's what it's called) and into the I-93 tunnel. I will admit that it does help relieve the traffic because I drove through that thing during rush hour and I only had to slow down for a couple of minutes. Good idea, just shoddy worksmenship.
pvcoasterguy Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 "Tests show more than 1,100 bolt assemblies that used epoxy and more than 300 other areas in the tunnel are unreliable. All, he (Gov. Mitt Romney) said, will have to be reinforced." Link to full story: http://www.sacbee.com/24hour/front/story/3332057p-12270249c.html Well, that sucks. Oops.

You must have been lucky, because most of the time, there is a ton of traffic due to leaking. I went through the tunnel on opening day and everything seemed fine. about 2 months later, there was a ton of trafic due to leaks. And it was in the Ted Williams tunnel this happened! If it were the I-93 tunnels, traffic would back up into New Hampshire! . Hey Elissa...can we go to Boston? WINNER! HopefullyElissa will say yes!
