PhishyBrewer Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Love all the pop-ups and ads. Thanks for trying to freeze up my mac.

Guest Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 which web browser do you use? if its interet explorer I am unable to help, all I can say is turn on the pop-up blocker
Guest Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 ok, here is a free ad blocking program that may help, http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,8060,00.asp# also http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/browse/0,cat,1448,sortIdx,1,pg,1,00.asp I don't know if there is a catch or not with the first one, however it may help stopping them adds for you, if not I can safely say that this next one will, although it isn't free forever but does the job for me http://www.scosoft.com/block-web-site-buddy.htm This does block ads and is free for 14days or 30 can't remember
Luxo Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 I recieved plenty of handy pop-ups (and I'm runnin' on '98 with IE) You should try freewebs.com, zero pop ups and the expert editor has unlimited bandwidth.
Guest Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 I have xp sp2, pop up blocker and website blocker, with Internet Explorer 7, lol
ParkTrips Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 My solution: http://www.noscript.net/ Though admittedly you have to know how to use it properly and its not for everyone.
Jumboshrmp Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Love all the pop-ups and ads. Thanks for trying to freeze up my mac. You have a mac, and you get pop ups? Wow. I use Safari on Mac, and get no pop ups. I use fire fox on windows, and get at least 5 a day. Whatever you do, don't use firefox for mac. Firefox is much better than Internet Explorer, however Safari is still way better than Firefox.
PhishyBrewer Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 ^Thank you... I didn't have the heart to say it.
PhishyBrewer Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 I'm actually surprised this thread hasn't been locked yet.

That site even tripped Camino, forgot to turn it's blocker on.
Guest Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 its the only builder I can use for now, although I am thinking about swapping it over to freewebs
Not For Sale Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 [Thread drift]Why would you use Safari? It's so slow! I downloaded Camino yesterday, it's great. I use that and Opera.[/Thread drift]
Skier Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 To drift even farther... safari has "private browsing" built in, lol.
BelizeIt Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Man listing your own website on TPR always seems to be a brutal experience! With the exception of Wally's website, just about everyone else gets pounced on like a pack of hungry Lionesses eviscerating a tasty Gazelle.
Wes Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Black Tornado has enough posts under his belt where we would consider him an active member of the community, thus it's okay to link. As far as the actual site sucking, well, there's nothing I can do about that.
