  1. The Tram's have always been a cool treat during HHN, especially if you geek out on movie industry stuff. When you get let out on the lot, you find yourself walking through the War of the Worlds, Bates Motel, and various other movie sets. You can also walk up to the Psycho House and take a picture with Norman. I haven't been a big fan or the Purge themed years, just due to the fact that there are a lot of Purge scare zones already in the park. So having this new theme sounds refreshing. If you want to search Youtube, look up the Terror Tram in 2014. It was super fun and interactive. I just picked up my front of the line pass for Sept. 22nd!
  2. The verbiage in RMC's post is interesting and almost teasing. "...one of our new raptor coasters for next year". One of them... as in multiple ones for next year.
  3. Which Dippin Dot's guy told you? I want a name and badge number, stat! It's on the Six Flags Fiesta thread. USA Today leaked it. The Dippin Dot's guy leaked it to USA Today, you say?

  5. I'm with you there. It was definitely larger than I expected, and I suspect it will expand beyond the construction site. View of construction site from the Demon's queue Peek-a-boo To the left To the right
  6. When I was at Patriots media day, the ride was shut down and a survey crew was inspecting the ride... who knows?!
  7. Unless they can pull this stuff off by 2018, then have SWL launch in 2019...
  8. Yeah, things are in full swing in the construction zone! I was at the park yesterday for the kick off of their Taste of Orleans food festival. I was surprised how big the area is.
  9. I just went back and found this video from April. It made four rotations. One getting up to speed. Two at full speed. And one slowing down. All rights to the channel 'Parks and Cons'. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Wow, that was anticlimactic at best. I would not wait in line for that short of a cycle.
  10. Filing Trademarks for later things, sure. Filing Trademarks to pull a head fake on enthusiasts? Not a chance... it's not a cheap process. Actually filing a Federal Trademark is cheap! Look it up. I've actually filed before. $275-$375... totally cheap Cheap for a multi billion dollar company This whole argument is moot considering there is no proof this is or isn't going to be used for a ride or not. Seriously.

  13. You know queef, I heard that 280 designer story once too so I took a look at the 280 wiki page again. There's a ton of 'SR 1' references: "In the 1964 renumbering, the Route 280 designation was officially applied to the planned route. This replaced SR 1 in San Francisco; the new SR 1 alignment turned northeast where I-280 now runs, quickly ending at State Route 82 (San Jose Avenue/Alemany Boulevard). SR 1, however, continued to be signed along its former (and current) alignment, which had not been upgraded to freeway standards. A realignment approved January 1968 took I-280 onto its current route. This ran along what had been SR 1, SR 82, State Route 87 and I-480 (downgraded to a State Route then), ending at Interstate 80 at the west end of the Bay Bridge.[1] This change was made on the state level in 1968, restoring SR 1 to its current alignment and truncating SR 82, SR 87 and SR 480.[2]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstate_280_(California) Nice find!
  14. It's kind of a weak tie in, but they could be referencing the small aluminum rails that line the edges of the highways here. If you could imagine a car racing down the curvy highway at accelerated speeds, lighting the rails a' blaze...
  15. If only it was an Intamin Blitz themed after one of the bay area highways. Highway 17 is nice and curvy, same with highway 9, the autobahn designers also designed 280... I'll cross all 27 fingers and toes.
  16. I rode Patriot a handful of times during the day on my last visit, only to have the walk of shame on my last attempt. The seatbelts locked and the harness clicked twice but the system said it wasn't good. So I walked off and ate my feelings in dipping dots.
  17. Sky Cabin isn't going anywhere! In fact, I heard they were using the new space to build 2 more clones of it. Now us Southern Californian's will have not one, but THREE iconic K's in the skyline!
  18. I know the same thing happens to the FPs on the Haunted Mansion, where if you get your pass at 11 a.m. the return time is 11 a.m. I don't quite understand what's going on myself, but I'd agree that it's probably just a few kinks they're still working out. Still, can't wait for that Maxpass! No more having to run full speed to get a Fastpass! I don't think it's a glitch. They're doing that on a bunch of rides, and the times are listed in the app for reach ride distributing FP. I think they're testing how it will affect crowd control. At the moment there is now cool down period for this, so if a ride is currently at the FP tier of "ride right now", you can keep getting them and ride over and over....
  19. After a quick google search, "SR1" is the code for Traffic accident report in the state of California. Possible theme maybe? Traffic? Let's hope it's not a low capacity ride that makes traffic in the turn styles! Here's a video I found on IG of the marks
