^^Thanks, MM! Glad you liked it and I appreciate the in depth review! ^From what I recall, Goliath and Titan have similarly tall MCBRs. (As well as other coasters that aren't B&Ms). I kind of like how intimidating it feels on those. This was on purpose. What trouble are you having with downloading the park? If the server is the issue you can also get it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pd0a1fawfx7ckm4/Sunny%20Skies%20Park.nl2pkg

So obviously, all of you know about, or possibly have been to, Sunny Skies Park. But how many of you really bothered to learn it's history? Back in 1887, an at the time young man called Jeremiah P. Heartline moved to the states with his family, using what money they had to build Heartline Farm - Which soon grew to be Cedar County's 2nd most successful Ferret Farm! People came from high and low to the farm for some R&R, staying year round at the farmhouse, which doubled as a Bed and Breakfast, and would host the annual Pumpkin Rolling festivities. Demand was so high that soon enough they had to build two extra cabins for wayward travelers to stay in. Therefore DOUBLING their occupancy! Yes, it was a farm, a bed and breakfast, and for two months in one unfortunately hot winter, a failed ski resort. But everything changed when the fire nation-- I mean, when Jeremiah decided to expand and build some attractions for the little ones. At first it were some playground attractions, a petting zoo, a merry go round, but soon enough he had built the first miniature railway this side of the Sidewinder river. The train, which ran the edges of the property, gave tourists a beautiful view of a big old pile of nothing. But would occasionally be used as transportation back and forth from the cabins, which were in a more secluded part of the woods. In the 40s the railway park had become a true tourist attraction with people flocking from 7 counties over to see the biggest twister rollercoaster seen in the area, designed by Jeremiah himself, who insisted on a crazy notion that a rollercoaster be designed according to the "heartline", instead of curving around the center of the track. It's original name - The Heartliner, was soon changed to The Lantern after an unfortunate copyrighting incident involving Jeremiah's 1st ugly divorce. This created what was at the time one of the wobblier, yet smoothest layouts for a coaster of it's kind. Of course, you all know that due to poor maintenance since the buyout, it is now hailed as one of the worst maintained jackhammer-esque rides on the planet. In the 70s the park was built by FaCorp, the camping giant which had recently started buying out amusement parks. They expanded the park into a camping site, and added theming, also expanding the scenic railway's layout into a full circle. Not much remains of what was then the Medieval section of the park. The park started expanding east, becoming a same old FakeLand duplicate we've all seen a million times before, and is therefore not pictured here(or in the simulation file attached, for that matter). The park's western side remained the authentic lakeside campground it had always been. Until Atomica was announced. In perhaps one of the most controvertial moves in the modern day amusement park history, Sunny Skies Park announced a multi-million hypercoaster to be built over the historic section of the park, not only tunneling THROUGH the historic Lantern coaster, and robbing it of it's control of the park's skyline, but also essentially forcing the removal of the campgrounds, and being built right over the picturesque Lake Anton. Fans of the park's historic side battled head to head with Amusement Park Afficienados cheering on the exciting fresh thrill ride which the area sorely needed. This caused a delay in construction, and ironically enough, ended up to a revisitation of the project plans, making the coaster even bigger and more obnoxious than before. Nowadays most agree that Atomica is probably what saved the park when the annual Pumpkin rolling festivities were moved, robbing the park of much income, and is one of the more exciting rides around, people coming from far and wide to marvel at it, ride it, and just look and be amazed that it somehow DOES pass clearance testing. Hopefully you've all grown wiser and will enjoy your next trip to Sunny Skies Park even more! Download link: http://www.themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=3081

That's jut the thing, though, even the ones that ARE already like that show the error: Failed file: "C:\Users\Tomi\Documents\com.nolimitscoaster.nolimits2\Sunny Skies Park\atomica.jpg" and such, wen opened on another computer. As you can see, it's the park's folder, but the address remains the one on my comp. Solution is here. Uhm... Uncalled for passive-agressivness aside... (I mean, was "absolute file path" really a term I was supposed to know?) I couldn't find anything in the results that seemed to help. The first result is some plugin that seems to make lightwave find the file if it's in the lightwave root directory. But when you install an NLpackage it doesn't put the files in lightwave's root directory, it puts them in the park's directory. So that doesn't really help. The 2nd result is a forum post the answer to which I didn't really understand. I never heard of setting a content directory in lightwave. The 3rd result seems to refer to file backups rather than textures... and all the rest seem to be equally confusing.

I made a park with some custom scenery objects. i saved a park package file of it all, models and textures included. i sent it to someone to test out, he replied saying he got a bunch of errors reading "failed file:" and then the location of the file as it is on my computer. The models showed up but the textures were white. I'm guessing that its because they'r all .lwo files and in lightwave itself there's the exact address of the texture file as it appears on my computer. Is there something ICan do to make it so the files show up alright on other people's comps too? Help!

Overall a cool ride. The bad: ---------- -The trim brake int he tunnel was confusing. I didn't really know why you need it. -The inversion right AFTER the trim brake pulled hard red G forces, above 5. No real modern coaster(let alone a B&M) pulls that much, as far as I know. Is that why the trim brake is there? Because if so it's not slowing the train down enough. -I personally wouldn't have terribly minded if the ride was a bit bigger. Felt like there was a little more it could do. The good: ----------- -A well built ride overall -I really liked the unusual take on the post-dive-loop-inline-twist. Definitely gave the ride some originality points. The fact that it actually goes UP after doing it isntead of dropping down added to the interest. -I thought the train was too close to the water, but then when I viewed it form the outside I saw it's only an illusion. So good job there! -

^It's a scenery object which can be foudn int eh scenery library. you just palce it near a train and the clearance object will appear on the last car of that train when you run it. -

Oh my gosh! My coaster got tweeted? I'm rather honored! And it is on the TPR game exchange, by the way. -
So, I got this weird problem/bug/whatever you wan to call it. I made a tunnel object (I solved the problem I was having with importing objects) and the inside of i is dark. I tried using a spotlight from NL's demo items. in the editor it looks fine, but when I leave the editor and urn the coaster, the spotlight is off! Wha...?! I also tried importing my own objects that emit light, but they didn't even seem to emit light in editor... Help?

I made the object in Maya, saved it as .OBJ, and then imported it to lightwave, triangle-devided it all, and tried saving both as .OBJ and as .3DS , neither brought good results. Well if you're importing it into Lightwave, NL2 supports LWS and LWO. So try one of those and let me know your results. There's no need to export as 3DS from Lightwave. I thought I mentioned- I already tried .lwo , it's the same problem. -

It is! Now if only I could figure out why my textures don't show up when I'm importing a scenery object >< -
Not sure if anyone here even knows, but worth a shot. I model in Maya, in order to get things to go into NL, I have to save them as .OBJ and open them up in lightwave. When I opened up latest object in lightwave, the textures came out in grayscale. Wasn't sure if this was jsut a lightwave bug or an actual problem with the object, so I tried to save it and open it in Nolimits as a cenery object, since that's where it was going anyway. When I did - There were no textures at all. everything was black. Help!

.NL2SCO files are XML, and those can contain references to .3DS files. But you say you're getting this message when trying to load the .3DS file itself? Can you give us more information about the 3DS file you're trying to load? Perhaps a link to where we can download it? Thanks. Here, I included it. Sunny Skies Park.rar the model I'm trying to use. -

So I just got NL2, and I wanted to get a hang of the editor before I build anything too ambitious, so I decided to build a little Polar X-plorer type family ride. I like how it came out! It doesn't really have much 3D grass so it should work smoothly on most machines and cards. You can download it here or on the game exchange: http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=3067 overview overview

I love how every time I say something about the discount people's responses are "*I* don't mind paying full price." Well, guess what, I work as a cartoonist, I don't make much. My appreciation for the development team is great, my income is not. They said there'd be a discount, I think it's only proffessional to offer one if you said you were going to. If you don't want to take advantage of it nobody's forcing you. -

Phyter: 1) We were told there'd be a discount for people who own NL1. I didn't see one on the site, after several hours of waiting I saw the official site go up with no mention of it and paid full price. Will there be some sort of difference refund for those of us who paid full price? 2) Whenever I try to import a scenery object, be it .3Ds or .lwo, it says "Can't read XML files" for some reason. I don't know anything about any XML files. what to do? Does this have anything to do with the fact that I'm first exporting things from maya as OBJ and then transferring them to Lightwave, where I save them in the correct format? Thanks in advance.
